So if there's a run on forwards, a great defenseman is left for us to take. If there's a run on forwards, a great defenseman is left for us to take. If both go normally, there's a great player left for us to take. This draft is win-win. I don't really see a point in trading up in this situation unless we're really after a certain player.

Unless it's to get into the top 4, there's zero reason to trade up

We will be just fine at 11, the draft people & some around here have mentioned that if they didn't get in the top 3 it would suck yes but that they'd still land a top flight prospect.
over half a decade before our captain was even drafted, and Gagne is still wearing the same logo today that he was in that replay. gotta love it.
Btw, the old jerseys made me wonder, how often do the Flyers usually go before changing jersies? We're in a new era for the team, I think we should get a new jersey soon

Well, I wonder about Drouin and Mackinnon. I'm sure they're top tier prospects by themselves, but it's oddly coincidentally that they're a duo. Are they both that good party because they play with each other? Once they're separated, will they be so good by themselves? Do you think whoever drafts MacKinnon will make a run to trade for Drouin as well, or vice versa?

They've been wearing the current jerseys for 2 years.

I have watched them these playoffs they have been on separate lines while not often it has been done.
Also each has been hurt and the other was still playing and neither dropped the ball with their production

I guess... Our homes now were our alternates from 08-10. And on that note, we only used the old generation of jerseys for 3 years... We used the same jerseys from 1980 to 2000, I dont really want to use these jerseys for 20 years
I mean they're ok but not that great.

Yeah, I'd do that in a heartbeat. I'd really like to see them land Fucale somehow - Jsaquella
I agree, he's been very good for Halifax but if not I like Eric Comrie (Tri-City) or Tristan Jarry (Edmonton) who will likely both be 2nd rounders.
Comrie did have hip surgery after this past season but scouts are still high on him. Jarry scouts also like as well and feel his future is bright as he'll likely take over the starting gig next year.

I'd like them to use the jerseys they used from 1983 until 1998, personally. Those are perfection to me.
I don't like the black uniforms, and the ones they used as alternates in 2004 or so, with the silver tint on the logo were not very good.

I'd only be concerned with Pulock being picked between 11 and 14. If he was picked in the spot we traded out of I'd be quite steamed - JAKEw1234
I will say it again do not fall in love with a single player. You may very well be disappointed. Bill pointed out Pulock had a mid-term ranking of #6 he missed some time with an injury and had a final ranking of #12. I'm willing to bet many teams don't feel that drop is justified enough for them to move him down on their boards.

Look at Slater Koekkoek last year....felt sure he'd drop into the late teens or even the early 20's after the injuries....went in the top ten.

Yup he was one I know I mentioned often that I hoped he would have been at #20. I can say I have at least 15 to 20 players I like at least in this draft so for me odds are I won't be disappointed unless I felt it was a really big reach. (like the Kings taking Thomas Hickey #4 in 2007 kind of reach)

I'd be pissed if they ever changed the logo. - Jsaquella
I absolutely hated those silver-tint logos. So horrible. I'd actually be quite content with the jerseys now, but only if they added a black alternative. Not like the 07-10 ones, but almost a black spin-off of our jerseys now. If they got those and wore them on every occasional home game, I'd be happy. Also, other teams occasionally wear their winter classics, I wish we would wear them on the odd occasion as well. I really like those jerseys.
