In an interview taped during the intermission Zadorov says he likes to model his game after Pronger/Karlsson.
For those interested. - ob18
I've been sucking his toe on here for months.
Kid has attitude, and something to work with that not many players have coming into the NHL. Intimidation factor. |

I'm more taking note of the disparity in style between Pronger and Karlsson than anything. |

I was thinking the same thing. If he turns out to be Pronger/Karlsson. That's one hell of a offensive/defensive puck rushing ,scoring, clear the porch defenseman.

I don't know he has the game of either with it being his first year in the OHL and his learning this style of game to think he's played like any current NHL player. |

Ohhh don't overanalyze haha.
He is just saying that he wants to be a mean shutdown guy like Pronger, but have some offensive ability like Karlsson.
Better he set high standards for himself. |

Bad thing about Stolarz being a big goalie, shoot fast into his feet. Which just happened and resulted in a power play goal. |

Here's how I would view the prospects most talked about on here using Hockey's Future Player Ratings System:
Seth Jones 9.0B
Jonathan Drouin 8.5B
Nathan MacKinnon 8.0A
Aleksander Barkov 8.0B
Valeri Nichushkin 8.5C
Darnell Nurse 8.0C
Rasmus Ristolainen 7.5C
Sean Monahan 7.5B
Ryan Pulock 7.5B
Nikita Zadorov 7.0C
Josh Morrissey 7.0C
Max Domi 7.0B
Robert Hagg 7.0C - Tomahawk
this is very helpful, thanks

One other thing to note is I think Dale Hunter has worn the same green tie the entire playoffs. |

His numbers are ballooning to a whooping 2.32 GAA and a weak .932% after starting out so great.
How are you watching these games btw? link? |

His team defense has slipped a bit in combo with him struggling with some shots. I am using Hockey stream (pay site) |

By the same token if they draft a Forward that's close to NHL ready. That gives them the flexibility to trade a player like a Brayden Schenn for that puck moving defenseman that they desperately need. Flyers need a high minute puck mover. Puck movement from the defense was a huge weakness this past Season. Drafting a forward could in the long run, help them with that issue. - MJL
I don't think Nishushkin is that close to NHL, especially with the whole "did he sign a KHL deal" saga. But certainly in Monahan is available at 11, it allows them to trade B.Schenn for D help. Although if they were to do that why not just trade the pick for D help instead of Schenn who is already an NHL center. There is no guarantee that Nishushkin or anyone will be able to step in and play those minutes.
And for petes sake the Flyers sat on a couple young kids and let them develop before going through the cycle of being impatient with young players. |

Trading the pick for the right defenseman is also an option. If a team is willing to trade.

If the right defenseman doesn't drop to 11, and there isn't any stand out forward that has dropped to 11 (i.e. Nishushkin, Monahan) then I think the best move is to trade back a few spots and see what else you can pick up in the swap. |

No you take one of them unless a team makes an offer you can't refuse. |

Take one of whom? Sure the trade would have to be worth it, you don't trade back a few picks just for the sake of making a trade, but if you pick up an early 2nd rounder to moved back 4-5 spots i'd do it. |

Nishushkin or Monahan if they fell, I don't move back unless it's a solid offer liked with Columbus if they save give up #14 and another of their 1st rounders. |

The KHL stuff is the Russian media. Whenever there's a Russian media report, you have to really take it with a grain of salt, because there's always some sort of agenda behind it. |

The on team I'd trade with is Columbus. They own the 14th pick and the Rangers and Kings 1st rounders. I'd be willing to move the 11th and 41st picks for 14 and one of the two other firsts that Colunbus holds now. |
