I'd settle for 2 - 3 points by Toews.

I feel like sitting Saad could murder his confidence, can't see Q doing that. Couldn't agree more on Handzus, he's been pretty much the worst player on the ice these 3 games. I think its time to let 88 hop up with 19 and pray they score 3 goals tonight

Ha ha! I thought the very same thing when I read that remark. One would think after the last two post seasons, this line of thinking might considered to be taboo by Hawks fans?!

Oh well, I can certainly see his reasoning, but it is a bit dangerous though if one believes in karma, jynx's or bad luck as a result of being over confident to the point of being arrogant.

- MnGump

A "fans" confidence level is irrelevant, I'm only concerned with the players and how they perform. Some arrogant, cocky f*ck sitting on his sofa has no influence on the outcome.

And no, I don't believe in Karma, jinx's, bad luck or curses.

That being said, I evaluate a series the same way the players do...it ends when one club wins 4 contests.

Oduya so far has been a lot better than Seabrook...

But on the goal play he allowed a player on his stomach to pass the puck right by him.

The issue was Shaw, Oduya and Stalberg all were thinking a whistle would blow...I guess so as Shaw should have been called for tripping.

Crawford was down and stayed down and Falk made an unconscious shot.

That said the better team won the game.

Just being honest. If it was arrogance... I would feel that way about every team. If you see my original post, I say we would be golfing if we play this way against the Sharks. I do not think the Hawks have to be at their best to beat the Wild. Just an opinion.

Hawks have proven that when they show up its not even close (game 2) and when they kinda sorta don't, its a coin flip.

Which means he could be on the first line by the 2nd shift of the game...with the way Q likes to juggle the lines. Was hoping for more than just Car Bomb tonight...Zeus has been less than stellar for sure.

Interested to see how they respond this evening to the game Sunday. Hawks need to play more than the first and the last 10 minutes of regulation or we're coming home knotted at 2.

JJ.. Regarding Niemi and the Hawks letting him walk.. I think you are being too hard on Bowman for that. (Only time I will defend Bowman btw) They tried to sign him. I think 2 million a year for 3 years. Correct me if Im wrong. The Hawks were STRAPPED with cap problems. Keeping Hammer (FU Doug Wilson) was a needed thing to do. #4 is quickly becoming a top 2 guy. Especially with the unexplainable decline with Seabrook's play. You can only do so much. There are also system issues and how Q plays his guys. A better argument would have been dealing Sharp and keeping Ladd. You can go on and on.. but that was an epic salary cap mess.

I will give you this... Bowman's biggest failure and one that may cost him his spot if the Hawks get bounced is not filling the #2 C hole. That also falls on Q for not shifting Sharp back there. Bowman is a great drafter, but he doesnt trade well.

According to what I heard at the time which proved to be correct throughout that summer....The Hawks never offered Niemi a $2 mill contract.

Actually they had a chance to sign Niemi for $2 mill after the Sharks made the offer to him and chose not to.

Poblem with Zeus looking so bad is Q. is stuck unless he moves Kruger.

Shaw could move up to the 2nd line but the 3rd line has been consistent and Q. might not want to screw with it.
