I find it difficult to believe that this loss is being pinned on Crawford. I'm just curious what Hawks fans don't consider a "soft" goal. Because it seems as though that is all Crawford has let in so far according Hawks fans. |

He was down pretty early I would think for alot of our tastes, but if your going to hug the pipe....HUG the DAMN PIPE and stand up until a low shot comes , then go into the butter fly. Mind you...it was a great shot and it needed to be for it to go in, but we all know it shouldn't have ended on a shot like that.! - ChiHawks27
Did anyone really watch the play, the puck was low at ice level. The issue I have is that every goalie except Crawford gets bailed out by quick whistles by the refs. Next game, there better be at least 2 pokes at Harding whenever he is near the puck. Show Harding as much respect as Cullen has for Crawford. |

A lot of people just have it out for him. He let in two horrible goals in OT last year so now he has a reputation as letting in soft goals all the time. People don't like to admit other goalies who they consider "elite" also let in bad ones sometimes.
He's been good this year. Everyone is seemingly forgetting that he was good in the Game 1 OT. But of course that's conveniently forgotten... |

The first two yesterday, wicked back handed, top shelf...not soft. The third, from along the wall, goal line extended, where there is only about 1 inch of net that actually needs to be covered....but isn't.....soft as baby sh!t. |

I don't consider those first two as soft. But he was down awfully early on both of them. The first one was bad defense. Hammer was way out of position |

I thought Roszival looked pretty bad yesterday. Not just on the TO that led to the Parise goal, but looked like he wasn't seeing the puck or the ice around him all night.
I've generally been an advocate of Rosey over Brookbank this year, but after yesterday, wouldn't mind seeing #17 suit up for the third pairing. |

Unless there isnt enough duct tape in Minnesota to hold Roszival's body together, I wouldn't even think about dressing Brookbank. There are 6 defenceman in Rockford who are better than him, he's just awful. |

Here is what I know:
1. 0 for 3 Sunday on the power play with ZERO shots on goal, and 1 for 28 since March 25th.
2. Gave up 40 shots on goal.
3. Crawford was the only guy who showed up yesterday.

Hossa has been poor, like he has been for the Hawks in the playoffs. If not for Kane's great feed in Game 1, he has nothing to show. His passing, shooting and defense have been off.
He was responsible for the first Minny goal on Sunday - messed up at the blue line, then loafed as his man scored.
In 35 playoffs games for the Hawks, Hossa has 6 goals (3 in 2010) and 17 assists. |

This is the truth right here. The majority of people on this board are waiting(if not hoping) for crawford to fail. I'm not sure how, but everyone ignores that he was awesome his first year in the playoffs against vancouver, including a game 7 where he was the only person that showed up on the entire team.
Was he bad against the coyotes in OT last year? Of course. But two games don't make a career. Like patorioto said, he was excellent in OT of game 1, played great game 2, and had the team on his back again yesterday until he let a bad one in.
Can we stop wasting our time talking about Emery? Hes been good this year, but short of crawford being injured/getting destroyed in multiple games, there is no chance we see him. Also, if we want to look at the year objectively, crawford drew all the tough games, and except when crawford was injured, emery mostly played against "lesser" opponents.
I have a question for everyone, would you feel better about the game yesterday if Keith doesn't score, and they lose 2-1 in regulation? I wouldn't. I'm also sure you guys would be talking about how crawford was down in butterfly when the wild placed two shots perfectly over his shoulder.
Also, if crawfords GAA is under two(like it is right now) at the end of this series, and they somehow lose(which they won't), are you guys going to blame crawford? I'll have a really tough time considering how loaded this team is at forward. |

Don't care how many soft goals others let in - I'm a Blackhawk fan.
Crawford let in a soft goal in OT, and the game is over.
Main reason they lost? No.
Others at fault on the OT goal? Of course.
But - proximate cause of the loss? Crawford. |

He can make highlight reel saves all game and then kill you with a massive brain cramp when the game is on the line.
Yeah, just like in OT of game one on Parise? Seemed to me like the game was on the line then..... The hawks manage 2 goals, and this is all on Crawford again? Give me a break. |

No one has it "in" for Crawford.
We all know other goalies give up soft goals; so what.
We all know Crawford has been good this year.
We all know he was good in Game 1 OT - AND in regulation of game 3.
But he wasn't in the OT - he let in a goal he absolutely should have stopped, and the game ended.
Unfair? It's a goalie's lot. |

After the Caps game on Saturday, Ovi was quoted as saying now that the Caps' PP is clicking, teams are scared to commit penalties against them. Wouldn't that be swell if the Hawks managed to dent the back of the net a couple times to give teams second thought? |

Has anyone seen the first line? Please call...1 800...put it on net.
Seriously didn't think it would happen this soon, but the charmin soft Stan Bowman Hawks hit town yesterday. The Wild are following the playbook that's been laid out by Van and Phoenix the last two seasons...and once again we get the perimeter Hawks.
Zeus looked awful -how many draws did he lose? Love Kruger but he got tossed around like a rag doll yesterday. How bout when they grabbed Frolik at the end of the play and road him into the glass behind the net? Where was the response? The Hawks outside of Shaw wouldn't engage and were hammered again and again. I sure hope Bolland can go tomorrow and its time for the Car Bomb as well.
Once again coach Kompon's PP looked bad and made you wish we'd traded for Iggy or Jagr...the PP will continue to be a killer for sure because the Wild will continue to hammer away and watch the Hawks get zilch on the PP. What is it 1-10 now in the series?
As far as Craw sure he got you there to the OT. He was nothing short of brilliant. But once again a horrid goal from a bad angle - shades of the Phoenix series last season. The big concern is now do we get mopey Craw or headcase Craw? Or can he shake it off.
Sure its only one game but the Sharks are warming up in the bullpen...and you know they're going to bring it physically. |

Crawford didn't even make a mistake on that last goal, that's the thing. - TKON
He didn't ? You've been spoiled by watching Kipper FADE AWAY for the last decade.
Why the PHUCK is he on his knees ?
And why the PHUCK is he not hugging the post like he's supposed to be doing ? |

The corollary to this is the worst part for the Hawks - lacking a power play of any kind, teams will have NO fear to commit penalties. |

You must love playing that game pin the tail on the donkey - have to have somebody on the Hawks to blame so you have closure in a loss.
Here's who I blame - the 19 other guys on the squad who didn't bring it yesterday and mailed in all but about 10 minutes of that game. They stunk, the Wild played better as a team.

Had to work yesterday and only saw the last part of the 2nd on lunch. This game was coming people. After getting hammered in game 2, the Wild were gonna be charged up for this game. And still getting out hit/played/out everything yesterday, it still took OT for them to beat us. Didn't see the OT goal. After reading the comments, don't wanna see it. I see a much better effort for game 4.
Its possible this series goes 6, maybe even 7. I just don't see the Wild being able to take 4 out of 7 from us. Have faith. The playoffs are a war. Cant win every battle. |

Lets add these to the list - Face Off %
Kruger - 43%
Zeus - 31%
Shaw - 44%
Not good for a "puck Possession" team. |

The fact that a "puck possession" team gave up 40 shots on goal is a very clear indicator of where the fault lies for Sunday. |
