If the Islanders win, I'll never again post on a Pens thread.

Then it was well worth it. Thanks Fluery!!!!! |

in all seriousness, if you are looking for a serious solution and are bent on making trades (it is 2-2 by the way, we aren't out yet)
Trade Malkin to LA and bring back Bernier in a nice package.
Trade MAF to EDM or FLA for their first round pick. - SuperHenderson13
Kings don't have the assets to add with Bernier for Malkin.

lol apparently we're not allowed to discuss trade possibilities for fun...
how would that "garbage offer" (which honestly would be VERY close to getting it done in real life, if we weren't in the same division) help? well you'll get MDZ, who is better than letang in his own end, and signed for very cheap, who will still be a RFA for 4-5 more years (so you don't risk losing him for nothing like letang in FA soon), you get thomas who's a good prospect, and a 2nd. - rangerdanger94
trust me, I think it is safe to say that Pitt won't trade Letang to the Rangers. i'm sure they could make a decent offer, but just not interested in shipping him to a divisional opponent. |

No it's not just him, but sooner or later he needs to make some saves. The goals he lets in from behind the goal crease need to stop. Holy (frank) just stay in your (frank)ing net facing the other goal and the Isles would have 4 less goals this series. - canadianpenfan

I hope Malkin sits because of an injury, he frickin causes so many negative plays its not even funny, don't care of his positive play... He frickin crapped the bed, not the only person who stank but.... |

Fleury for Harding I would do - Genev21
Backstrom is a FA next year .
Seriously though, fleury being traded is very unlikely given we have NO ONE to replace him |

yea I was thinking that.
in all seriousness, if LA offered Kopitar + Bernier for Malkin.
do you do it? |

LOL you guys act like i'm not aware pitt will never make a trade with NYR (although they came VERY close for jordan staal).

I don't see MDZ as a finalist for the Norris. Thomas is a suspect imo |

Wish I could agree with you, apparently you haven't seen Blowsma much. Worst playoff coach in the last 3 years. |

Vokoun practically had the same numbers with more shutouts in less games he may be better than fleury |

Was it very close, or did Shero pull one on Rutherford to get Dumoullin in the deal? I wouldn't say very close. Shero doesn't trade Staal for Gaborik. He doesn't do that deal. It's not his type of deal. |

Miller only has one year left on his contract and Pegula will eat some of his 6 million salary, but the Sabres won't want Fleury. - GilPerreault11
Depending on the cost, I'd look a Miller for a year.
Hopefully we have something between Zatikoff and Hartzell.... |

so you expect another norris finalist for letang? you have to remember that these star players never get what they're truly worth (look at nash and gaborik trades).
what about girardi + 2nd for letang? |

Great win 4 you guys Duck. I'm just embarrassed that this team continues to run out a choking goalie. Its just sad.
Games have maximum entertainment value...Just like the Flyer series. |

Penguins #1 issue is the neutral zone. Defensemen are backed inside the blue line before the Islander forwards are even to the offside faceoff dot.
Speed drives them back, which means the forwards aren't helping out enough.
It's a real mess and that has led to countless controlled zone entries. |

Letang and Malkin were worse in their own end. The lack of attention to detail is troubling. I have been a Bylsma supporter but that falls on him. |

Pittsburgh isn't trading Letang to the Rags. It's utterly stupid. Use some logic. You aren't.
How about the Rags trading Nash to Pittsburgh for Niskanen, Kennedy, a second and a tier B prospect? Even if that is fair, which it isn't, do you believe your idiot GM would do that deal with Pittsburgh. You are a fool if you think he would - for the same reason Shero trading Letang to the Rags. |
