and if not serious, why even discuss it? - Oneonta Penguin
why not? it creates conversation. it let's us see where fans of other teams value each other's players. it helps you get over your tough loss. |

It's not that simple, most if the other 18 guys on the ice have been pretty piss poor too. - rival22
Take away the five soft goals ... its a 4-0 sweep.

i find it funny how many of you were saying the pens are going to win the cup or at least be in the SCF and pretty much said the pens wont be knocked out before the finals and are having trouble against the isles who have much less talent
you guys have resorted to blaming the refs, when you guys got lucky in OT with the crosby dive IMO, saying your only losing due to fleury and weak D well nabokov hasnt been that good either, and the isles have been the better team 5 on 5 too
the team with "all the talent" is being beaten by a team who is showing they want to be in the playoffs and playing with heart
good teams find ways to win even when they have things going against them |

I mean, i'm serious. I know it would be one of the more shockers, but Hank in net would be unbelievable. he would love the offense we have compared to NYR. - SuperHenderson13
NYR honestly wouldn't do malkin for lundqvist. he IS the NYR and gives us a chance to win even when we're playing at our worst. malkin can't do that unfortunately.
now hank + richards for malkin and fleury....maybe. |

This conversation is pointless. It's just as pointless talking with ridiculous Leaf fans when they want Crosby. It ain't happening and if Letang gets dealt, he is going to the West, not a rival. It's not rocket science.

you've already established that Pitt isn't going to trade letang to the Rangers. i think we all understood that before and now it's just drilled into our heads. thanks sherlock. |

Who's blaming the refs? Look at the last 4 pages. Pretty much universal scorn for our D and awful goaltending. |

I really hope Bylsma is screaming at everyone right now. They should be ashamed. |

To me its very simple. Ray Shero went out and got a very capable #1 as our backup.
Those of you who watch the Penguins regularly know 92's style is very calm and calculated. He stays n the net (with the exception of that Flyer game early in the year).
He stops the game every chance.
The facts are, we came back from the Refs and the Isles pressure to take a 3-2 lead. Flower panics and puts it in himself.
My other problem is Blysma is so old school he won't realize his goalie is playoff inept. |

Still too simple. Fleury made a lot of tough saves in Gm #2. You can't just assume those all get stopped by Vokoun. |

I think with 2 losses Fleury's leash gets real short but I guess we'll find out soon enough. |

We aren't playing with heart. I see more Islander fans female doging about the calls; Crosby's call is made 11 times out of 10. People who don't think that was a penalty, don't have a hockey IQ. And when you lose two games by a combined three goals and your goalie lefts in five softies in those two games, its simple logic that he is to blame. Those should have been stopped.

That's what pisses me off. He made a lot of great saves again tonight, but the goals he's letting in are unforgivable. |

I'm pretty sure we understand reffing in this league.
If you cry about it you get a massive advantage in the next game right. So if thats the case.
Give us 3 in the first and see what the outcome is. Assuming Fluery stops something. |

That's what freaks me out CPF. What about last year when there was no 92 to go to.
We had to play Flower. There shouldn't be a leash anymore. This is enough! |

Can't defend him anymore, absolute poopshow between the pipes and Malkin can start making simple plays to get the puck out anytime.
Isles fans- Good win no need to rub it in. Taken a couple name callers out already and when I get back from the bar I won't hesitate to take more.
If you want to be around to comment on game 5 behave yourselves. - canadianpenfan
Too bad you weren't around to ban the Penguins fans after last game in the Isles blog!!!

He isn't as spastic. Game 2 was decided by over playing the puck off the boards.
92 doesn't get caught like that. |

people say that seeds don't matter in the playoffs, and in some manner, they are right. but this is the time where you fight for seeding. this is where you need to win 2 out of 3 and 2 are at home.
and folks, lets remember, this situation isn't completely unheard of. in the past the penguins have lost tough games at home and on the road. these games and losses happen. the penguins weren't going to go 16-0 and win the cup. these loses and these series happen. what matters is how you respond from those games.
the penguins still have the opportunity to win the Cup. If they get out of this series and take care of business, they get a clean slate and a new opponent.
we just gotta get out of this jam first and I believe they will. |
