I love both hall and yakupov's compete level. Both guys ive known in the OHL so its not much a surprise. Hall has this hatred to lose kind of compete and yakupov is more of an Ovi love of the game/scoring compete.
However, I dont think eberle is on the same level. I know he wont show it as much due to the type of player he is but sometimes he seems to float little bit.

Luongo issue isn't an issue because he's been the better goalie in the playoffs (not saying much). If it was Schneider all alone in the playoffs the Sharks would have made him shart himself because the team is missing the defense needed in the playoffs. Ducks are also seeing the problem with an average defense.

Boy are the Blues a tight checking team. All the respect in the world to the Kings/Blues for sending me to my early grave. Exactly how playoff hockey should be and as long as both teams keep the cheating to a minimum no harm no foul.

Yakupov should have been a Calder finalist but this is the NHL and nothing makes sense.

I wonder if Canuck fans are still Team Schneider or if they flipped back to Team Luongo.

Hall will be the captain when Horcoff is dealt off. Which will hopefully be soon. There's no doubt about that. On a side note, Vancouver needs a miracle. I absolutely hate that team. I enjoy watching them lose.

Any source about Gillis asking for 2 of the "wonderkids" in return for Luongo?

One thing you didn't mention is how well Hall, Yakupov, RNH, and Ebs seem to handle all the media attention in Edmonton. From the interviews, I have seen, they are passionate and poised making them the perfect faces of this team.

They can't get rid of Horcoff until they find somebody who can win important faceoffs and right now that ain't RNH or Gagner.

I still think the Nuge will eventually end up being the most important to this teams success. If for some odd reason he is the one getting traded he will burn us for years..Him getting traded is of course a long shot though

True enough. There's lots of names I'm sure MacT will keep his eyes on this summer. Have any ideas to who he might looking at?

I can't believe you have Nuge so low on your list. The guy is definitely more important than eberle. Even though he was injured all season and his offensive mojo was off he got the job done defensively at 19 years old against top level competition.

I think your on crack if you think the Kings Blues games are the best playoff games going on at the moment.

The teams are big, physical, but slow, and defensively tigher than a nuns...

The shots/scoring chances seem relatively low compared to any other match up, odd man rushes fewer between.

Basicaly if like watching slow grinding hockey the Kings/Blues games are perfect for you.

I don't even think the goaltending has been that great in this series. Of all the playoffs Ive watched this year Kings/Blues is the worst to watch.

But. I do agree with you that these teams are playing very well and both have very good chances at the cup. Strong teams they are, boring as hell to watch tho.

Oilers:

#1 Hall: Over the top obvious over the last 3 years how much more of an impact player he is over his teammates so far.

#2 RNH: True #1 Center. People do not realize how much more important centers are to a teams success. Comparable is still Datzyuk at 19... Sick.

#3 Shultz: Look at Montreal or Ottawa for how much an elite puck moving defenseman can improve your team.

#4 Yak: At this point it's all potential but it looks like Yak will be a bigger impact player than Ebs.

#5 Eberle: I dont care about the stats. I hope the hand injury really was the problem because Eberle was a ghost of himself from last year. But even if he was as great I would only put him at #4.

#6 Smid, Petry, Gagner, Dub, MP: All valuable support cast for the above.

#7 Klefbom: Eruos take awhile to adapt to the North American game. It could be three years before we see Klefbom as a regular no matter what his potential.
