Curious why he cares so much about whats happening in nuckland to go off like that...not that I disagree... - bogiedoc
Rozner and Nucks fans have had an ongoing feud for the last few years that I believe started with the Hawks ouster of them in the run up to the Conf Finals and then the Cup year. I love when BRoz trash talks Nucks and their fans. Though is it trash if it's true?

>No worries
>Personally, I love JT -- who doesn't?
>Just wish he could find a way to free himself from the Suter rodeo-treatment>No doubt the zebras aren't helping, but JT certainly has the ability and will to make great plays
>Would love for him to be the #1 star tomorrow night in a Hawks W - SnapitUpstairs
That's what those big, strong, dominant defenceman (Suter, Chara, Pronger, Hatcher etc) are able and allowed to do in a playoff series - play 30 minutes and shut down the other team's best forwards. Have to play through it and when the offensive opportunity comes up (and they do), bury it. Toews had 2 chances in Minny where he was in alone on the goaltender and didn't score. On the other hand, Hossa made an exceptional play in tight quarters last night to arrange the first goal.
Not going to get easier for JT - he's always going to be matched up against the other team's best DMen. Life is real tough slogging it out in them trenches during the playoffs (ask Kopitar or Backes or Datsyuk or Zetterburg) but thats why he's being paid $6.3M/year. Regular season points mean squat now.

Me too... Entertainment par excellance...
Plus, I hate 8:30 p.m. starts at UC... Since Det is in EDT zone, I think puck drops in UC would not be later than 7:30 CDT... (well, maybe 8 p.m.)... Let the LA and SJ start at 9 and later for West Coast entertainment... |

>JJ, making the Wild -- or any other team -- go 200 feet to score is certainly an important key to Hawk playoff success
>Few teams can go 200 feet and create a great scoring chance -- Hawks happen to be a team that can
>Hossa has been better with each game
>Saad has been OK -- especially for a 20 yr old rook -- but I do think the puck seems to be exploding off his stick a bit
>Toews continues to disappoint -- Sharp is creating much more ice on his own this series than Toews so far - SnapitUpstairs
Different match-up... Toews faces top shutout guys, leaving lesser talent playing vs. Sharp! Glad Sharpie is starting to show up when it matters... |

Time to start watching some other teams. The Sharks have been re-tooled and became a damn sight better after they lost those 2 turtles the fans here loved.
so much - Douglas Murray and Ryan Clowe.
Couture, Thornton, Pavelski and Gomez down the middle will be a chore for any team to handle. Vancouver certainly couldn't do it, and it definitely exposed that great candidate for the Hawks 2C position Derek Roy - totally useless in the series.
Would much prefer to see the Sharks and Raffi Torres play the Kings or Blues. - RickJ
It sure didn't seem like they scored a lot of 5-on-5 goals, mostly poweeplay. It would be a great battle: our pk against their pp. Whoever wins that battle might win the series |

>Not entirely true
>Suter is playing monster minutes -- 30+ -- which means he faces Sharp a fair amount of time each game
>Like when he was holding Sharp's arm and stick behind the Wild net and wouldn't let go -- right in front of the ref

And now a boston pp. Boston is just too good. Too bad I hate them almost as much as Vancouver, La, and st. Louis. Now boston scored on pp |

I do, too. He had that great 2011 playoffs against the canucks. He was mvp of the frozen four. He was one of Rockford's best players during their drive for the playoffs. He is just a big-time player - tomcat24
Guy is a proven winner wherever he goes, no doubt about it. I was there for that Game 6 against Vancouver. Probably one of the best games I've ever been to, all time. |

John:
Just here to say I told you so regarding the Sharks vs. the Canucks.
I don't think the Sharks will make it out of the second round if they face the Blackhawks, which perversely has me cheering for the Red Wings.
However, your prediction of a Canuck victory in the series was misguided given what had happened in the regular season. - diskprotek
I gladly concede the point. My heart wanted to take the Sharks.

I took the Canucks too. They looked mighty good in that last game against the Hawks. But apparently that was their Cup |

Definitely would rather play the Wings than the Sharks in Round 2, for the simple fact that I would rather not have to worry about if Raffi Torres' douche-baggery is triggered by being on the ice with Marian Hossa. |

Toews was without a doubt one of the better players on the ice last night, don't know why that would disappoint you - rollpards19
He's getting chances and Toews chances to boot, power moves to the net, I just give the Wild/Suter credit. I think the little kane/Hossa shuffle loosened things up a bit too, both for the top line but also for Hossa who seemed to have more room last night.

I'm watching the Boston-Toronto game and keep waiting for Jim Hughson to break down crying over the Canucks. - John Jaeckel
Can't stand his monotone OVERRATED voice. Wish Bob Cole could call every single game.
As for Wings vs Sharks ? Initially i favored San Jose since (my recall tells me) we have been good against them for a few years, but now i'm not so sure.
The Sharts just avenged a painful playoff loss to Vancouver and would have the same motivation and momentum vs us. |

Do you think there is a chance he can get into the lineup? It isn't like he came out of nowhere. He earned a roster spot but had injury problems. Would it cause problems with some other players that might be ahead of him because they are older vets? |

Hossa has been bad in this series. - nathanjf
Not at all true. Dan Bernstein would say "Marian Hossa is good at hockey."— That is, he would if he knew how to talk about hockey on his afternoon B&B show.
