In the 3rd period of last game, my wife came in the room and told me I looked like I was going to die. The only sound I could utter from my mouth was "sshh" every time someone tried to talk to me. Then when it was over and the Islanders won, I had this overwhelming feeling of relief like I just crapped a watermelon. I'll have to go through this at least 2 more times.

I mean it was like every time the Islanders score the next rush the Penguins scored that is when the my stomach turned cause I just knew the Penguins would score

This is exactly why I will have a few drinks before the game tonight. I forgot how stressful it is watching playoff hockey. Especially now that the Isles have given me some hope!

You guys have to beat the Pens.

No one outside of the rathole named Pittsburgh can stand those stinky, smelly, ugly, nasty Pens.

And I am down with the playoff beard, but someone tell Crosby that the white trash mustache hasn't been cool since the 1970's.

Beat those bastards. Please!

Cheers!

Yup. Much less stressful worrying who the Islanders will take with a top 5 pick. I'd imagine it's worse for Pens fans since they're supposed to win this series. As the underdog, it should be slightly less stressful.

What's worse is when you start feeling superstitious and actually think what you do is going to affect the outcome of the game.

I glad i am not the only one with these emotions. Then it gets worse once the game starts. Especially it seems no lead has been safe other than in game 1.

Any word on how crosby is feeling after taking that puck in the throat? I know they said he wasn't the same in game four after that happened.

When the isles lost the lead last game I thought I was going to go into cardiac arrest. My girl friend was looking at me like I was nuts. I love these games but they are facking killing me in the process

Bro I'm the same way.. In some ways I wish the Pens would get eliminated so I can enjoy hockey again. I love the playoffs but it's brutal when you care so much.

You can knock Malkin off his game the only way to do that to Crosby is knock him out of the game.

- lloyd095

While you obviously would know better than I would...just from this series I don't really see it. I mean, it's crystal clear that Hamonic is getting to Malkin and drawing reactions from him...but it's also clear that it is not impacting Malkin's ability to score in the least.

The bottom line key for the Islanders right now is Nabby! He MUST play better for the Isles to contiune to win. He has been to sloppy and it is putting too much pressure on the offense to respond. Who ever is in the Pens net won't matter if Nabby starts playing better!
- Islesfan28

Nabakov is not a guy i would ever count on in the playoffs. Year after year with those Sharks teams he was not good enough in the playoffs...simple as that.

P.S- I hope Malkin gets crushed tonight, hes a pretty sore loser (or at least was at the end of the last game)

Hey now...the only blowout in this series so far was the only game I wasn't watching from my green camping chair in front of the TV. Don't tell me that had nothing to do with it!

Totally. When the Islanders scored thier first goal last game, I happened to be scratching my nuts. I had no choice but to have my hand down my pants Al Bundy style for the rest of the game. It felt awkward, but kinda nice at the same time.

Do you think that the refs cost the Islanders Game 5? Those were some iffy calls.
