See, this I'm not sure of. Are you underselling it by saying "capable defenseman" capable to me comes across as decent. Top 4 at best. There's lots of defensive potential in this draft, and many people project Pulock to be a future top pair defense man. Is this how Zadorov projects?

I'm very confident the Flyers will draft a very good player in the first round. They certainly have been money in the first round no matter where they have chosen over the last ten years.

our last 2 captains (I'm not going to consider Pronger since he only technically played 12 games as captain) we drafted over the 20th overall. We may not have the best drafting crew in the league, but we come damn near close to it.

It makes you wish they would try to keep there picks more often then give up the 2nd round draft pick for the grizzled UFA d-man at the deadline.

To me, Pulock has 1st-unit power play QB upside and is not a bad defensive player although perhaps not projecting right now as a future NHL shutdown guy (mostly because he only switched from forward a couple years ago). Pulock's shot is so good that he could be on NHL power play right now.

Zadorov is a good - not great -- junior level defender about whom it is hoped he can become an NHL shutdown buy based on his size and tools. In somewhat similar fashion, the offensive upside is strictly speculative based on his natural tools.

I'd rather draft Morin in round 2 (if he's available) than Zadorov at #11.
