Please explain to me how a team with a core group of players can blow a 3-0 series lead, win the cup, and then blow a 3-1 series lead in the span of 4 seasons?

I love Gardiner and I think hes had a profound effect on this series (even though numbers dont show it)

Gardiner's been fantastic since they dressed him. He's been all over the place, in a good way.

Really wanted to see the Leafs put on their ass.

If you live up here, you grow to hate the team real fast,

The fans are annoying but I don't see what's so bad about the team

Im going to take the bait here and guess this is a serious post.

The media loves to blow anything that has to do with Toronto. TSN and CBC have blatant bias, and will cream their pants after tonight.

Its like Pittsburgh of the US.

I'm really amazed how many shots the Rangers block and remain relatively healthy. If this was the Flyers, at least three guys would be out of the playoffs with broken feet.

Say what you will.

I'd enjoy it more if Toronto found a way to blow this lead and lose the game.

I used to like them way back when they were in the Norris Division. I started hating them in earnest when they had Darcy Tucker, Tie Dummy, Gary Roberts et al.

I absolutely cannot stand Dion Phaneuf.

I'm totally livid now. I think I'll go chase small furry animals through the yard with a weed whacker.

What are the opinions on Bobby Ryan here? Would anyone be heartbroken if a trade brought Ryan here, and another involved Hartnell going to Vancouver for Edler? Can Ryan or Simmer even play the LW? I imagine a line with Simmer and Ryan would be a nightmare for any team.

Depends on the cost for Ryan. They have a bigger need for a mobile defenseman than for Ryan.

I could care less if Hartnell is out of Philly next season, under the condition that it brings back a decent package.

Regarding Ryan, I'm one of those who thinks he is overpaid, soft and too much of what this team already has.

The Caps are pretty much done. Refs seem to be keeping the whistles in the pockets, no way they can score that much on even strength against Lundquist. Pens and Rangers in 2nd round, Flyers at the World Championships.

I think Bobby Ryan would be a nice addition. I think the people that point out that everyone wants him here just because he's from Jersey are just as annoying as the people who only want him here because he's from Jersey. But outside of his place of birth, he's a big body, skilled 1v1, and has a good shot. I wouldn't expect his numbers to increase dramatically if he were to play with Giroux, although they could increase a bit. The only player(s) on Anaheim with G's skill set or similar is Getzlaf and Perry, who Ryan didn't haven't abundant chemistry with either. I think an addition like Ryan to the top line slots everyone in pretty good forward lines.

Ryan-G-Voracek
Hartnell-Schenn-Simmonds
Read-Couturier-Gagne (hopefully at a home town discount)
Rinaldo-Talbot-Rosehill/Laughton/FA signing

EDIT: Obviously depends on the cost. And I don't think Van City takes Hartnell for Edler, although that'd be a huge addition. And I think one of Coburn and/or Meszy would be gone in that case.
