Patterson hasn't exactly been keeping the pucks out of the net. I watched Fridays game and I was surprised it's at game 7. I had no faith they could keep the puck out of the net in game 6.

To also be fair to each goalie the team in front of them didn't exactly play well either but both should have stopped some of those goals.

Probably just did it to try and light a spark under the rest of the team.

Doubt it will derail Stolarz's pursuit of the dream

The only reason Stolarz started as many games as he did is because he was likely promised a certain amount of starts to convince him to leave school to play for London. It's a common tactic from the Hunter's.

Patterson is the superior goalie, Stolarz just has more size. Still a project player.

Near the end he got more than a little manic. He's grown up a bunch. It's tough when you're 14 dealing with grown ups on a website. I guess mostly I felt bad for him.

He really did need to stop posting here. He was making a mess at the time.

Hmmm...I haven't seen much change in his tweets compared to his old posts on here, but I haven't followed him in a while. Does he still tweet about his super-refreshing showers?

Yes. It was definitely a combination. Poor coverage for sure but there were shots that could have been stopped and weren't. They made it closer than it should have been. They should be handling this Barrie team. From what I read and head during the broadcast Stolarz held them in the first two but was incredibly shaky in game 3 and gave up a couple bad goals, hence the change.

I don't think the Hunters promised him any starts, any player ice time, or to play in certain situations.

Not so sure Patterson is the superior goalie he's given up just as many questionable goals, I think is was as they said for Fridays game it was done in hopes it would spark a come back.

They were struggling. They needed a change. Don't see any reason for it to effect him long term.

At the very least, he was getting a shot to play regularly and handled it pretty well for the most part.

Well they aren't suicidal for one, so I'll hang my hat on that as an upgrade.

I saw him play three times during the season and thought he played great. Hopefully they'll get to the Memorial Cup and He'll get another shot in the round robin.

I exchanged a few emails with him once, he certainly had a complex of some sort.

Don't be so sure about that. They're known for giving recruits incentive to play here. It's well known in these parts. Patterson wasn't playing bad by any means when they brought him in. They got Stolarz as insurance for next season.

I'd rather see the Leafs and Caps win, but I'm hardly rooting for them. In fact, I'll probably see a Mike Wise column RT'd later today and end up preferring a Rangers victory

Don't really care who wins Boston/Leafs, but I think Boston will find a way to win a game 7 on home ice.

Don't particularly like the Caps, however I f'n hate the Rangers so GO CAPS GO!!

Really wish both games weren't on the same night. Can't decide which game I want to watch more. Caps Rangers might have some real fireworks after the end of the last game.

He took a hit away from the puck on Saturday that as the least should have been interference. The hit itself was I'd say clean but caught him off guard & he landed awkward. Needed help getting up and missed much of the 3rd.

Can someone do a Nancy Kerrigan on Lundqvist's face? All will be right in the universe then.

Not that the opening game between the OHL champ & host Saskatoon won't be good but the next night is what many have wanted to see.

We are Flyer fans, we have to watch and root against our hated rivals. Hockey mysticism commands it.
