I am with you, got the worst series possible outplayed them, that wasn't a collapse, Boston needed 6 guys plus 2 Refs to even win this game.
Leafs were better, are better, and play tough clean hockey, can't say the same about the Bruins all the dodgy tricks to save time on icings throwing water bottles to re-position draws. Classy until the end. - NHLWussBeater
C'mon man, no need to be happy but that sounds to me like sour grapes. |

WTF were you expecting this season? This is a young team that was considered to be a bubble team by many. |

now now, no sore losership.
Leafs made it further than any of us expected. Beginning of the season it was a top-5 pick expectation. Half way through, they were probably gonna implode and miss the playoffs. Once the playoffs started, 5 games was optimistic.
They've surpassed ALL expectations this year. - Feeling Glucky?
I take exception to a Boston fan telling me that there is 'no shame in losing like that'. That's bullpoope. What happened out there tonight WAS shameful. We gave them the series. |

definitely not luongo...
but i do believe reimer just proved why having a goaltender with some proven playoff nerves can be a little important in certain scenarios.. - joel878
come on... he's the single biggest reason they got to game 7.
maybe, just maybe if he improves his rebound control and doesn't have the guys crapping the bed in front of him in the last 2 minutes .. .its a different story.
as much as Chara and few on the Bruins were out of gas.. .so were the Leafs guys. Gunnarson was thrown around like a rag doll, not blaming him for it.. just saying. We all know what happens to Phaneuf when he plays too many minutes. |

Nice logic you dippoop... who was the Canucks' Chara when you made the Stanley Cup final... - jribout
?
I know you are mad but no need to be stupid. The guy said that the leaf remind him of the Bruins three years ago. I disagreed because no team in this league that has a guy like Chara. He's a difference maker.

Yup.
If you described the Leafs' team record and individual performances this year before the season started, you would have been bwahahaha'd right off the internet.
Kadri not a bust, McClement with Selke talk, Kessel PPG again, Reimer (and Scrivens) both serious NHL goalies, Gardiner with a huge playoff, et cetera, et cetera....
This sucks big cloutier right now, but it ain't all bad.
Now Nonis, knock one out of the park at the draft and let's get back at the Bruins next year! |
|
|
|
for sure they did.
and its still going to be hard for a lot of leaf fans to find a silver lining in it.
there's very few things you can do to disappoint your fanbase more than missing the playoffs for 9 years, and blowing a lead like that just may be one of them. - joel878
I can relate. Remember? up 3-0 in a series and 3-0 in game 7? its horrible way to learn a lesson. |

#1 Priority would be defence I would say. Phaneuf was gassed all series...eating more minutes than he can handle to be effective imo - pparam
i still wish they would have gone out and gotten bouwmeester |

This team could use a Clarkson. And a Backes.
And a Crosby. - Feeling Glucky?
Bozak might have made the difference tonight. Colborne, Kadri and Grabo were 5 and 25 on face-offs. That's 17% ....
And I'm pretty sure they didn't win a draw the last 3 minutes or so of regulation. |
