At least it's not Gardiner, Kadri, Bozak and a first for Loungo.

I agree.....it will be a long summer, but at least we are moving in the right direction. Now it's up to Nonis, to fill those holes and make the proper roster adjustments. Two new defensemen, at least one decent centre and another grinding winger who can score some goals.
Players that need to go:
Liles
MacArthur
Grabovski
Trade bait:
Kulemin
Frattin
Percy or Blacker - PrinceLH
Kulimen isn't going anywhere. And I don't think Blacker, being the only Righty in the system, is leaving.
I'd put Grabovski in trade bait. What Mike Riberio got seems likely. You might even get more because he competes, and tried every night. He's a warrior with a bad contract. But it isn't the end of the world. MacArther will probably test Free Agency anyways. Agreed on Liles.
Grinding Winger yes... We need another 4th line center too. McClement seems to be becoming a Winger in this organization except on the PK. Or in important situations in case Bozak gets tossed. Which is an important dynamic to have. |

Yeah, I realize its really hard right now but this game will turn out to be a good thing in the future. They will learn from this game and it should make them better. - Oilfan19 It's invaluable experience. They now know what it takes to get past the first round of the playoffs. Being less then a minute away, then having their ambitions crushed, will make them more hungry, going into next year. With the re-alignment, it's going to be tough to get out of the Northeast, or even make the Playoffs. Bruins, Wings, Habs, Sens, all decent teams, with other another team on the rise, like Tampa, once they get their house in order after the draft. Only 4 out of 8 get in. The only two locks for being out, appear to be Buffalo and Florida.

Yeah, they should be able to look back and be happy with the effort they put forth. They arguably outplayed a cup favorite for 6 games of this series. |

All I know, is that you have to give something to get something. With the cap going down, and extra cash on hand, we might be able to snag a good player for a player like Frattin and a second. I'd hate to see him go, but where does he fit in the top 6? He doesn't. We need to establish a true checking line that can shut down a line like Kraci's. It would require some size along the boards. Maybe Grabo's a fit in Columbus, with Gaborik.

I think it's bed time. I want to thank allot of the fans from other teams for their support of our team. Very few trolls and some good conversation. I'm really surprised that we didn't get allot of troublemakers. There we're a couple, but surprisingly, some of the referees from other threads came over and dealt with it......Micah55!!! Thank you! |

Surprisingly, Kadri had 5 or 6 points. Only one goal, however. If Kessels goal had've stood up as the winner, he'd had scored 3 game winners in the series. That would have shut the pie hole of allot of Bruins fans, who want to chant his name. So much for Seguin in this series. That trade doesn't look so one sided these days. Still, time will tell if Hamilton gains elite status, or Seguin becomes a true top 6 performer. JVR was a second overall and he's good, but not elite. There's allot of 2nd overall's that weren't big stars, so the jury is still out.

I think the pie holes are already shut, whether he had 2 GWG or 3.
If Kessel and Seguin were reversed, we probably go down in 4. More accurately, we probably don't get the 5th seed (or maybe not a playoff spot).
Kessel's line also scored a number of points with Chara on the ice at even strength. It was a good series for getting these Bruins out of our heads. |

You remember two bad game 7s but forget the rest? Do you actually know his game 7 stats? They are pretty damned good.
But hindsight is 20/20. No trade either way takes into zero of a million intangibles.
I would have hated to see Lou in Leafland under the dark lord Burkie but now you are run by young jedi Nonnis, I hope you make a run at him because if you do not...
New Jersey will get him. |

please read my edit....
I am not ragging on anyone tonight. If you had Lou.... great.... if you didn't... great, I think the Leafs were.... RESPECTABLE this year. This was a huge step. Looks like the circus has left town... and apparently in Anaheim.
Lets face it, tomorrow morning, in the light of day.... it's gonna suck. So no poking the leafs tonight. |
