imo, i like tucson waaay better than phx, but yeah no hockey there at all
you can ski on mt lemmon though - Don'tForgetTocchet
we didn't have time to get down there on this trip. we'll probably go back in the fall and poke around more in phx and definitely go to tucson. the lack of a rink is a problem. and a potential business opporunity! |

if they are still considering using one on Bryz, and I don't think they are, they may wait to see if strombone gets bought out early. - wilsonecho91

Possible. I can't see Vancouver trading him for more than peanuts, I wouldn't trade him if I were Gillis now, leaves the door open to recapture penalties if he retires. |

i'd just cut bait cleanly. no negotiating, no nothing. here's your money and thanks for your service. move on. it would be better for lu. he still gets a huge payday and can sign a reasonable deal somewhere else that can use the money they're not paying him for other parts. |

It'd be better for everyone involved. Except maybe the bean counters for the Canucks. |

They'll have to place him on Waivers first, so that's when you'll know. |

Does that go the same for Bryz then too?
I would think trading Lu to Florida for futures would be better, no? |

Not really. If thy trade him, they're still on the hook if he retires early. If they go the CBO route, they're free and clear. |
