I'm a wino, thanks for asking. A toast to the Pens, good game! - powerhouse
A good glass of wine is never a bad thing.
I'm enjoying a locally brewed NC ale.
Cheers to the win. |

pen's problem with the rangers is hank. nothing else about that team scares me.
it's that simple. I do expect the bruins to win the series though. we cant worry about that series right now. lets worry about ours. - SuperHenderson13
I think the Pens are usually pretty good against Hank. The record the last couple of years is ridiculous against them. However, they are much improved since the deadline. I think they beat the Bruins. |

Bud I was basing that on us playing each other and not this game. As for Crosby he was getting tackled and redirected a pass. I seen him hitting players. I thought he was decent. - lloyd095
in the 2 other games andy played against pitt this year, he had a sv% of .940 and a GAA under 2.00.......the pens won those 2 games cuz ottawa couldn't score.
and dude, i was being sarcastic about crosby, guy is a machine. |

Good stuff all around. Relatively strong play. Some touch and go calls tonight. A few each way I guess. But good win. Expect to see more intensity next game.

I definitely think we are better than the Rangers minus the goaltending. Bruins are the team to beat, but I don't think they will be able to match the Pens in scoring. - mighty13duck
Up front, you are better than the Rags IMO. Your defense isn't better at all.

We were in the box more than you I believe - Oneonta Penguin
i wasn't trying to insinuate that we were taking more penalties or anything, i actually think the game was called fairly even. i was just saying that ottawa can't afford to take penalties against your PP. |

We played well with the lead, that to me was encouraging. |

Nice job protecting the lead and capitalizing on the PP. Duper's shorty, and league leading SIXTH, put them away.
Morrow disappointed me in the Islander series but maybe getting a helper on the first goal can get him going.
Keep it going Vokoun!
We all saw the letdown they had in Game 2 in the last series. Hopefully they will learn from that in the next game.
Solid victory. |

I edited my post- I think he's good but not great. Ryan Miller is another one who everyone else says is very good. No offence meant. Just my opinion. |

come on man, it's one game. crosby was invisible, should we start thinking he's a little overrated. - sensarmy_11
It wasn't one game though.... over the season this was an average game for Anderson against the pens.... he's a 3-4 goals allowed goalie against us |

agreed, I don't get how everyone thinks the Rags have this great offensive powerhouse. Without Hank they are a lottery team. |

umm, in the 3 games anderson lost against pitt this year, one was a 2-1 shootout, and the other was 4-2 (with an empty net goal), the other was a 3-1 game (again with an empty netter i believe) |

His GAA is near 4 against us historically, at least a goal higher than against the rest of the league |

come on man, "historically" most of those games were probably when he played for florida. THIS YEAR, he's been very good against pitt, this was probably his worst game against you guys. |

This just looked a lot different than the last series. Even with a lead, they still looked like they were in control, not of the game, but themselves. They didn't seem to run around much |

Cappy doesn't teach them how to play defense, I think that's why many dislike him. I admit, he is starting to grow on me. It seems the players respect him. - mighty13duck
He's good for your team right now,but if/when it's time for the next step for you guys, it will take a change of coaches to push them over the hump. No disrespect, we had to do it with Mike T/Bylsma. Some would argue we need to do it again hahaha |

not stirred up, just defending my goalie. anderson was definitely not the reason ottawa lost this game. he obviously wasn't great, but really the only goal he "should" have stopped was the shorty, and even that was a WICKED shot. |

No, you can't. You are right. We can't give you many power play opportunities either. Neal was a moron tonight. |

you could give us 15 pp's a night, and we MIGHT score a goal......but you'd probably put up 3 shorty's.
there are a lot of things ottawa does well, PP is DEFINITELY not one of them. |

Rags offense is a joke. Nash is the most overrated player in my mind in the NHL this year outside of Carey Price.
