Yep, he's going to have to find a new plan. With guys like Cooke, Morrow. Adams, Orpik, Murray, Iginla and Kunitz, the physical play won'y have as much of an effect as it did on the Habs. - Ben37

we said the same thing about karlsson. everyone felt he played poorly in round 1, and had 6 pts in 5 games. |

I'm not sure if Bylsma will have the same approach with Karlsson as he does with Chara...but maybe.
Kunitz and Dupuis were all over the big man this year.
Karlsson is definitely fleeter of foot...both he and Letang avoid a lot of contact with their speed and skill.

He's not overly physical. None of the Penguins will wilt, but if the Sen's want the physical battle, the Penguins are coming with more than what the Hab's had in Prust and Subban. |

Karlsson is a machine. The Isles PP failure is a big reason why we're here, I don't think Ottawa will have the same issues and it's really only because of him. |

Malkin also had the most quiet 11 points in 6 games. Everybody seems to think he needs to play better, and in his own zone, he does. |

Seriously...is Dupuis not the second most consistent player on the team?
...and if you consider the fact that he plays more games than Crosby...maybe he is the most consistent player on the team!!!

Ill be curious to see if Bylsma adjusts how our PK plays against the Sens. The strategy against the Isles was to eliminate the Streit-Tavares one timers, and basically allow whoever else to shoot. With Gonch and Karlsson, you would have to think the game plan would be to attack the points more aggressively since that is the last place we want the shots coming from. |

My favorite thing about Duper is that he just shuts people up game after game. He can only score with Crosby they said...
His goal last game came on a shift with Vitale and Adams I believe.

I can tell him...
Tell Cooke to stand beside Karlsson and follow him wherever he goes. Let the other 3 play against the other 4 for Ottawa. |

That's why I like Eaton. Off the glass, out of the zone, it's not that hard.
Looking at you Letang. - canadianpenfan

I think it's safe to say that he's one of the best all round players to ever wear a Penguin jersey.

I think the Pens learned not to take anyone lightly after the last series. I also think while Anderson is good playing Montreal helped. The Pens I think will get around 4 goals a game against him. I just hope we improve 5 on 5 play and honestly feel this is a better matchup. Cant wait until 730pm but hoping it gets a late start as my oldest has a baseball game @6pm |

Orpik-Martin, Letang-Niskanen, Engelland-Murray
I see what Bylsma is doing there and I like it. Nisky has been terrible so far and he's trying to resurrect his game by pairing him with Letang (whom also needs some help on his game).
I'm confident we'll do a good job, even with Engelland in the lineup. We beat the Islanders with him in the lineup didn't we? + Ottawa has some big D pairings of their own.. |
