Last question I swear, I need ot ride my bike home from work.
If you had to choose between LA or PIT winning the cup and it's going to be one of them. Which one sucks less? |

not even close between the two.
a little disappointed with the teams left. none of these series right now are exciting to me except SJ and LA. I'd like to see Pitt v. Boston, LA v. Chicago. Those would be fun to watch. |

I think I would enjoy watching the Kings get under the skin of various Pens.. especially the ones named Malkin, Neal, Crosby, and Orpik. The Kings to me seem to be built for the playoffs. Yeah, they could stand to score a few more goals, BUT.. they love to forecheck and they're pretty relentless. They dont seem to take nearly as many shifts off as the Pens do. |

the playoff Kings are like a machine. it's remarkable. they look exactly like they did last year. wave after wave. no time or space. for basically 60 minutes. |

For some reason I always said his name like Matt Damon from Team America.

LA. Although truthfully, neither of them would suck.

I would die a little inside if the Pens won another Cup. I'm a hater. I cannot help myself and I freely admit it.

i find it mind blowing that people are so bitter about richards and carter that LA is now in Penguins territory (similar conversations last year surrounding the rangers)
penguins or rangers would be 10 times worse than LA winning another... i think even chicago would suck more, but that's just me |

I agree, but doesn't mean people don't feel that way and aren't entitled to though. I would hate to see the PENS win and would rather not see LA because I like to see the cup passed around. OTT or SJS |

I don't know. It seems like it's a pretty even split. My twitter feed is always blowing up with Flyers fans who have adopted the Kings as their second son.
It seems like some cheer more wholeheartedly for the Kings - but that that's probably because Flyers fans are innately cynical. It's always easier to be more excited about something new. |

I totally get that people feel that way. I personally dont feel that way, but I do get it. On the other hand, it does kind of bother me when a team like Jersey or the Kings win, who I feel doesnt have a true and/or rabid fanbase. Like maybe we should put an asterisk next to their Cup victories. God, I'm a total hockey snob.

I just hate the fact that the two cornerstones the Flyers chose to build around, never brought the cup here. Yet had a big hand in winning it for LA.
In turn I have some frustration, and hope LA is a bottom feeder for years. Which I dont think will happen though...
The Kings however have done a good jobs taking pressure off of Richie/Carter with a supporting cast, and an actual top goaltender. |

That punishing cycle forecheck is unreal. They play the game hard, and play a lot of in in the trenches. They have players who excel in those areas, and having an elite goaltender in Quick really helps.
They are really hard to play against, and it starts with the characteristics of every player on their team.
Did a good job of flipping the switch this year, but I could see the Hawks taking them down. |

Now, in my view Richie and Carter ARE the supporting cast. This was particularly true last year where Carter was essentially there for depth scoring. There are those who even referred to him disparagingly as a spare part. |

Thats my point. They do step up and lead the team from time to time, but they have a great cast around them.
When they were on the Flyers, it was usually the team going as well as Richie/Carts were going.
Thats what the Flyers need to do in the future. Not rely so much on Giroux, or his line, to be THE GUY. |

If the Flyers are out, I hope to see a Coyotes vs Panthers final.

yea i don't quite get that either, but the other end is just tougher for me to understand. i mean we're talking about the penguins and the rangers.... i can see their (tubby and wides) immediate success stinging, but that level means its a WHOLE lotta sting
to me it's a no-brainer. i guess everyone looks at it in a different light, however |

I was totally pulling for Vancouver against Boston two years ago.. until about Game 3. But between LaPierre, Bitey Burrows, Raffi Torres, and Aron Rome (author of the all-time classic children's novel, "Horton Hears A... Freight Train"), I quickly became a huge Broons fan, for about 4 games.
Once the Flyers are out of the picture I reserve the right to switch sides if one team does something to cheese me off. |
