How is saying anything favorable about stalin irrelevant? He was one of the worlds worst tyrants right up there with pol pot and hitler. - twotoekenn
It needs to be noted he is russian and doing a russian interview. I understand ur disgust but it is also more complicated imho |

I have to agree with MJL on that one. If it isn't affecting the locker room, than who cares? Plus, try to think of all perspectives of things. I can guarantee you that Bryz has put more thought into his opinion of Stalin than you have, so maybe he has a point you didn't think of, maybe he doesn't think Stalin himself is good, but maybe just a certain thing he did for Russia. Just trust that he's thought about it more than you. |

Carter wasn't there for depth scoring. He was brought in to be that goal scoring sniper they needed. Richards and Carter are key top players on that team. - MJL
You and I have always disagreed about Carter. What I think we might agree on is that he is doing well in LA and his contributions to their playoff runs have been more impactful there than here. |

You seem to have no faith that Coots has the ability to play the 2nd line next year. Why is this? |

It's a normal progression for a player of his talent and caliber.

I'm not going to go into this much, because it has been beaten to death... However I think its a little naive to think all of his media BS, some of which is his own doing, has had no effect on the locker-room.'
Bill mentioned in a blog something about him having issues with some players in the room. Or something along those lines. When things become a distraction for a team, and a player has a chance to minimize those distractions yet chooses not to do so, its a slight concern. |

I'd be in on this. Although I think Toronto would probably laugh.
Aside from a glorious world juniors, Brayden Schenn hasnt really done too much to impress in his NHL career. Nothing really stands out to me in his game, but hopefully he starts to break out next year. |

That would imply that the media BS is what caused the issues with some players in the room. We don't have that info. Nor do we know that it is a distraction for the team. Bottom line is that they have to get better results. Regardless of what reasons we think is the cause. That is the only thing that matters, that has to change.

I don't know if I'd call this media BS. This is him having an interview in Russia, speaking in russian, to a russian interviewer, about something totally unrelated in anyway to ice hockey. Don't see how that's affecting anything here. |

I think Schenn has developed a little bit more slowly, but I don't think that they'd laugh at all. I think they'd accept as quickly as possible before Homer realizes he's made a huge mistake. B Schenn's potential tops out quite a bit over Gardiner's. |

A stopgap from UFA like a ribiero possibly
I will say I guess I'm higher on gardiner than most. I just don't see any glaring holes in his game. Reminds me a lot of letang at that age and he's stronger |

You seem to think that not caring what Bryzgalov has to say on a subject such as Stalin is somehow endorsing Stalin's actions. What was that line you said to me earlier?

For sure.
I dont even read those anymore if I can avoid it. Frankly I think he is stupid for constantly feeding the fire, instead of thinking before he speaks. Why the hell does he even have to constantly answer questions, instead of just ignoring them or declining. He loves the media poop no matter how much he says he doesnt. Just my thoughts...

If there wasn't any glaring holes in his game, he wouldn't have been a frequent healthy scratch. I like him also as a player. And would love to add him to the team. But If we're going to trade B Schenn, I'd rather use him to acquire a more established player.

It's irrelevant to the Flyers. And to the team. Are you also confusing not caring what he has to say on the subject with minimizing what happened? Seriously? And confusing my statement with saying what Stalin did was irrelevant? We're talking Hockey here. It Bryzgalov want's to be ignorant on a subject, that's his problem. All I care about is how he plays on the ice. |

That depends on what you see Brayden Schenn developing into.
We all have our own thoughts, I just dont see that potential as high as others. No worries.
