I wish Pronger could give Bryz lessons on how to effectively harass the moronic philly media. |

You don't watch too many Bryz interviews do you? - MBFlyerfan
The Philly media reminds me more of the mob than of the police. But maybe not.... Too funny. |

Sure. And I can speak my mind to my boss or to the media about my workplace. But then I have to deal with the repercussions of those words. He's an adult and this is part of his job. - FlyersGrace
I am not sure his latest interview (granted I read it in Russian) deserves any repercussions.

They are the media....not the police.
He can choose what to answer and what not to answer. - johndewar
He sure can. Then what's going to happen? He'll be called distant, and rude, standoffish, or whatever. Some simply aren't following what's going on. Whoever said dammed if you do, dammed if you don't, had it right. |

I wish Pronger would give all of them lessons on how to effectively harass the moronic philly media. I sure do miss his snarl interviews. Like his reminder to them to be nice to Luke Schenn when he was introduced "OR ELSE"
Man I miss that guy. |

The individual quotes people are pulling from it are definitely mountains/mole hills.
I think it's more of a pattern of strange behavior that's a bit concerning, becoming a distraction.
What was the purpose of the interview? |

Yep I agree. His latest interview wasn't that bad. I'm thinking of his overall body of work... Sorry should have said that earlier |

I totally agree with you..
I think Bryz was about 10% of the problem last season. In that 10%, 20% of his problems were play related, and the other 80% were media headaches and controversy...
Its BS the way he has been treated here, but if they (the media) arent gonna change then he needs to (and he hasnt). |

To be fair, culturally, millions of Russian sympathize Stalin.
I grew up in the USSR and I am at advantage to see where he is coming from.
It's different culture and it should not be judged in black and white |

No body is saying he shouldnt speak his mind at all... but that if he wants to help himself out at all, he might wanna pick and choose what he talks about.
You arent gonna go into a densely populated African-american community and start rattling off racial slurs... - jak521
I think your point has merit, but the analogy is poor. It suggests that Bryzgalov is doing something wrong. He really isn't. He's just being who he is. And that's a little bit of a nutcase and a strange guy for sure. That's all he's guilty of when dealing with the Meida. |

He needs to get to his stall next year and see a sign reading:
"The only thing you can control is yourself."
Cuz I agree he's gonna lose any battle with the media.
I don't expect him to change or become more professional though. Can we put a hockey mask on Knuble and use him as a stand-in for Bryz interviews? |

Russian reporters tend to ask about everything. There was no topic or agenda. |

I guess I still don't understand all the "media is terrible, they're trashing Bryz" stuff any more than I understand the whole "Bryz is making himself look bad and shouldn't open his mouth" stuff.
As far as I can tell, the only people getting all worked up about it are posting on this thread.
Who cares? I read all of it. Doesn't matter to me. He's never said anything all that remarkable. The first season he threw the defense under the bus a couple times early. That's been about it.
From the media side the only outrageous thing was the asleep at meetings crap they reported. I doubt that was made up. One of his teammates said something I'm sure and someone backed it up. Maybe it was a goof by him that agitated someone. Who knows? The most disturbing and damning thing I read about him was right here when Bill said he's not well liked by his team and that he considers that a fact.
The rest of it is just entertainment. I don't care what odd ball questions they ask and I'm interested in what he says even if it's "controversial" or off the wall. What difference does it make?
If I had to decide on whether to keep him or buy him out based on interviews he'd be a solid lock keeper. Unfortunately that's now how he'll be judged. It'll be his on ice performance weighed against his contract number as it should be with the salary cap issue. |

If he was Canadian and spoke plain English he wouldn't even be strange or a nutcase... well except for the dog comment. That was kinda strange. |
