Grabbo was good until he was pushed to the third line. Even in the playoffs, both him and kadri played better when Bozak got hurt.....well aside from the third period of game 7. But lets forget that poop.

I read it somewhere in an article not sure which one but it said the avs are most likely trading him this summer since O'Rielly cannot be traded till a certain date or something like that. Same here always wanted to see Stastny come here and at a cheaper price than what everyone is thinking or saying. Joe Thorton will be costly but i think Stastny will be inexpensive. How sick of a deal would it be if we traded for Stastny and Erik Johnson, i dont know if avs would part for Johnson but could be an interesting deal

Stastny doesn't have a lot of value due to his contract. There are only a handful of teams that could afford him (both in cap space and real salary). Colorado certainly isn't even one of them.

Yes i know avs need defense, what if we traded some our prospect defense in a deal for Johnson? Avs are drafting Jones, Johnson has underperformed for the Avs, what if the leafs let go of someone like percy, finn, or blacker? Throw in a guy like gunner in the deal as well, throw in holzer too? Gives them a prospect defender to work with if they choose Seth Jones as well in the draft. Plus our 1st rounder would most likely have to be included either this years or next.. Thats why i think a Stastny+Johnson deal for whatever Nonis offers would be something the avs would consider

If they draft Jones, i can see them moving Johnson if we offer them a good deal, plus having Stastny in the deal is sort of a salary dump as well on their part, so could make a good deal out of it. Johnson has underachieved and underperformed with the avs, could very well need a change up.

That pretty much solves the center problem. You move Grabo to clear up salary, then just hang on to Liles.

I'll go to my death bed swearing Liles was a decent player for us. He was very good before he had his lights turned out.

I also felt that he started regain some the old Liles towards the end of the season and in the playoffs. He was rushing and stepping up into the play more, and moving the puck better. I don't remember him making any huge mistakes in the last couple games of the series, but that could be because Phaneuf never got off the ice.

I hope so, his value is about as low as it can get right now if we hang on to him and he has a good first half last season will just be a blip in an otherwise successful career so far, and then he'll have trade value which we can use to make the team better instead of just getting rid of him.

I would not include colborne, probably a prospect defender like finn or blacker, colborne will be useful to us. Maybe Ashton can be traded?

I've said it already, but I'll stick by it. The Leafs don't need a skilled centre, they need an error-free centre. A guy who can outlet to Kessel and Lupul and clean up the mess they might leave. Basically a better version of Bozak. I think Mike Richards is the ideal centre for this team, but I highly doubt he'll be available over the summer.

Mike Richards would of been perfect but remember we would of had to trade kadri+ for him when he had the chance

Right around is prime perhaps playing on a new team with better talent might surprise us. We ve had good luck with rejuvenating youngish players career. If it doesn't cost much I do it.
