I'm not going to blame the refs, but you can't just swallow the whistle cause the Bruins cranked it up a notch in the last couple minutes of the game...That non call against Gunner was the difference between winning and losing...

If you look at the turnaround its nice to at least know they can make moves if it makes sense, before they were a bad team and cap-strapped, now there a good team and cap-friendly

Something to build on with a way's to go. I'm not sold like most though that there is much help on the farm.

Ya but it's funny, especially the racoon, the parraot & the cat. The cat actually looks like my female doctor, except that my she wears glasses, otherwise they could be twins.

basically the only thing that's automatically going to get called for sure, is when the puck goes over the glass...and even then I recall a play in these playoffs where replay a few minutes after the PK showed it probably glanced of another players stick, so that call can get blown too

when JVR was pushed into Rask and got called for goalie interference is when I fully realized the totally random nature of penalty calls in playoffs

The bottle throw is an automatic bench minor.

If not healthy then get off the ice. I more feel that was the real Lupul. One thing stood out huge to me. He was standing in front after a whistle taking a pounding including cheap shot rabbit punches to the back from Marchand and not one Leaf jumped in.
- honesthockey

Lupul at 70% is better than a lot of forwards at 100%. Yeah they were trying not to take retaliations penalties lupul can handle himself he doesn't need people to jump in for him.

They have some good players but need a few areas upgraded.
- honesthockey

For sure. I'd say the Leafs, Habs, Sens, Isles and Columbus were the biggest surprise success stories, be interesting to see what holds

Ummm in that case nope. Not one other team in the NHL lets that happen to a player who's a supposed leader.

he does have a knack for scoring clutch, dramatic goals. I remember him scoring a bunch of goals flying down the wing near the blue line with a slapshot

No. Just can't see a fix to some gapping holes coming from within.

It's the playoffs everyone plays with injuries. Do you watch hockey or playoffs in general. Every year after a team gets eliminated you hear about all the injuries that now need surgery or time to rest. I'm going to assume all those injuries didn't happen the last game they played.

i think management needs to choose between bozak and grabo, and make the hard decision to trade one of them. And obviously this doesnt need to be said, but a veteran centre would be nice

Look at Bozak. He was realistic. Can't play at 100% in an important game then don't hurt your team. Lupul wasn't bad but he's not a superstar like made out here. And as far as him being the leader and should be captain? Not a prayer.

It ll be Grabo because of his contract bozak can slide in third and mcclemment will go to fourth and ok specialist.

A little on the older side, I was thinking a youngish centre with playoff experience

JVR clearly was far more poised than a lot of our other players and it was pretty easy to see that. The kings have an abundance of guys that play centre, Kopitar, Brown, Carter, Richards... I wonder if one of those players could be had, but I don't know if that team has any glaring holes that need attention.
