Get over your Reimer hate, buddy.

The guy single handedly carried this team to game 7. He was on par with Rask all series.

Have you considered why it was so critical to control the rebounds? The team couldn't win a single draw after Boston scored the 4-2 goal.

What's the point of stopping the play if Boston is just going to get a breather, win the draw cleanly, then proceed to fire away at will from the blue line?

Yeah goaltending isn't up for debate

bottom line is you call that elbow vs JVR and the game is over.

or the waterbottle toss by marchand.

Or if they just held on to the 3 goal lead they had they would be in the 2nd round. Give it a rest about the refs. They aren't the ones that cost us the game.

Train rebound reimer to catch a puck and understand what rebound control is. Basic goaltending.
Trade bozaks rights
Trade kulemin
Resign franson long term
Move some prospects and players for a top 3 dman if possible
Take a run at joe or Marleau if available

- Fakepartofme

Reimer obviously is out no.1 goalie no doubt about it. The playoff series in my eyes told us two things: one that reimer's our no.1, and that Kessel can be clutch when he has to be.

But your right about Reimer needing to work on his glove, I wonder if he was injured as has been speculated

LOL
I love how you suggest Reimer had any say in stopping the play...he cant control rebounds.....you control them...so they dont end up as goals....which was the case several times.
He played well no doubt.
But I dont believe he is the goalie that will carry the leafs to the next level.
He's a good tender.....but not the tender to get them to where they want to be.

Scuderi may be the best bang for the buck in the bunch.

Scuderi will be 35 by next season, (I know Streit is older too), but I think if you go with Scuderi, you're setting yourself up for a future buyout.

That true, but the officiating was so suspect when bottom line is it shouldn't have been a factor.

I agree that they shouldn't call EVERYTHING in the playoffs, but there's got to be a line. A lack of officiating from the officials should not dictate the flow of the game, by giving a team repeated advantages

this is just amazing....

i mean if you took 5 of us here and gave us some skates and sticks.. we could probably hold onto the lead for 90 seconds

the odds of that happening is so astronomical....and i sat in my living room watching it all happen and am still in a fog

I was nervous at 3-1 given this team's propensity for blowing two goal leads.

At 4-1, I started thinking, "Oh my God, this is happening, this is happening, this is really happening."

At 4-2, I thought Boston just caught a bit of a break against a team that had taken its foot off the pedal, but got nervous again with they way they were pressing.

At 4-3, I think deep down I knew we were going to lose.

4-4 I basically treated as if Boston had gotten the game winner.

5-4 was just a formality, although I stood up when Lupul tried that wrap around.

I hardly slept that night, and when I did, I dreamt of the game. Watching the Bruins play this second round is going to be tough. I hope they get stomped.

We are a one line team. If used correctly 3 and 4 would be ok. And defensively need 4 or 5 bodies.
