Jays: 8-15 against the east, soon to be 9-9 against everyone else.
HH, you were nowhere to be found when Gardiner played great in games 5 and 6. We get it, you don't like Gardiner, but you're in the minority bud. Let it go, he's here to stay now, unless Nonis sees an opportunity to upgrade at centre.
But even your boy Carlyle said he has the makings of an elite d-man, takes one to know one. Carlyle: Norris Trophy winner. - mykokes
What are you talking about? I was around for all the games. And even said game 6 was the best game Gardiner played this year. But man don't confuse him with an elite defensemen bc Carlyle sure didn't. Biggest game of the year and he was on the ice for most of the goals ....... against. He could never handle a Lucic.

HH doesn't like anyone on this team lupul is overrated according to him because he didn't score game winners every game and beat people up. - Yeti1181
Lupul has had one good season playing big minutes in a non accountable season. One of the only seasons that he played in a good number of games.

He likes a certain type of player, there's nothing wrong with that. And he's right, we needed a big body to clear Chara/Lucic out of the crease. And we could use a Clarkson. But I found his Carlo Collaicovo comparison to Gardiner amusing. I never saw Carlo do the things this kid can do.
Man I'm having deja vu.....I swear I had these same arguments last year about kadri, but someone else was playing the role of HH. Ah well. - mykokes
It was exactly the same same thing with Colaiacovo how soon we forget.
It certainly wasn't me that argued about Kadri. Always been in his corner and he should have been here the previous season. And he isn't a "certain" type of player but he does play with a little balls.

The thing is Getz and Perry got 8M+ and Semin got 7M. Thats why I don't think 6M is going to cut it. - mykokes
People who think we get him for 6 million are dreaming. Kessel and his agent hold all the cards. I don't think Kessel is so in love with Toronto that he could not bear to play anywhere else. The idea is laughable.
There will be no hometown discount. He will get paid 7.5 - 8 million on a long term deal.

Good leader my (frank)ing ass!
How could he have the audacity to utter that "haunt/die" bullpoop?
That's something you say when you experience or witness something horrific IRL.
i.e. Near death experience, severed limbs in car accident, someone close dying, severe and devastating injury, etc... NOT LOSE A (frank)ING HOCKEY GAME!!!
Sure it was heart breaking but if that's the worst thing that could ever happen in his entire life, then I don't want him as a captain.

Haunt/Die is great, it's the stuff real leaders are made of...I hope it drives him insane until he leads the Leafs to a Cup of redemption... |

That would be akin to me playing Final Fantasy XIII for 94:32 without saving it whatsoever, beat Barthandeulus and the first stage of Orphan, come within one strike of beating the 2nd stage of Orphan and the game and BLAMMO!... the power goes out.

Habs bought whole leagues, not just teams - to hide players. Smart - only slightly against the rules.... by ignoring or altering the definition of 'amateur'.
Research one Jean BĂ©liveau.
Leafs by comparison, largely due to language isolation that naturally happened in Quebec, and their own stupidity had scouts for each of the other original six constantly in the their back yard.
But to someone's point earlier, the deal that ultimately brought Lafleur to Montreal should never have been allowed. And they gave Backstrom I believe to Los Angeles to ensure that Los Angeles finished ahead of the Golden Seals ....

In Manhattan? They don't really have beer stores. They have wine/liquor stores and then you buy beer pretty much at any deli or convenience store.
Outside the city, they look like the pic Frenchie posted. |
