Train rebound reimer to catch a puck and understand what rebound control is. Basic goaltending.
Trade bozaks rights
Trade kulemin
Resign franson long term
Move some prospects and players for a top 3 dman if possible
Take a run at joe or Marleau if available

- Fakepartofme

Move him to the 3rd line as a checker and let him chip in goals once in awhile. Maybe taking some pressure off him will relax him. Him Grabo and Mcclement did an excellent job on the Krejci line the last couple games for the most part at least.
- Leafsfan9329

Yup, hes an ideal third line winger.

I'd hate to see what doing a poor job looks like then.

I didn't say it was an awesome job they did but in game 5, 6 they held that line down except for the 2 goals the B's were able to score in those 2 games. Game 7 they were pretty quiet until the final 1 min 22 seconds.

Does the fact this young, promising team exceeded expectations outweight the fact the media seems focused on "the collapse"?

I wanted to think we're trending in the right direction. The "right direction" to me means we're a quality young, competitive team (like LA) that can attract impactful UFAs in their prime. All this media scrutiny makes me think we're taking 1 step forward and 2 steps back.

Let's face it ... last impactful UFA who came here was Cujo.

Quite the boat to burn.
I think the Leafs are gonna lose the first 2 or 3 games next regular season.

That game was that bad

I think Mogilny, but yeah, the point is well-taken.

The passion that makes this city attractive to FAs when times are good drives them away when things aren't so good.

I wouldn't call this a choke or a collapse. The team had no expectations going in, and got to a place nobody expected. We lost in dramatic fashion, but to say they choked implies they were expected to go further.

It's a great story for the media to sell papers, but they're missing the point.

Kulemin actually was really good this series, very quiet but never the less still good in a checking role and defensively was not bad. I really think if san jose loses this round joe thorton will be gone, joe thorton will be our best bet since SJ will have to resign both couture and pavelski and im sure they would rather keep their young guns than thorton.
