Thought Big Joe would be a nice addition. Big centre, veteran, hasn't won a lot but I think he's still quality.
Thornton
Kadri
Colborne
McClement
That'd be a pretty good set down the middle. The only thing is, If I'm not mistaken, Bozak and Kessel are good pals, is keeping Bozak imperative to convinving Kessel to re-up? - AngryWhiteMale
Unless you keep bozak and shift kadri to the wing. Alot of centers moved to the wing, seguin, galchenyuk, etc .. plus kadri isnt that good at faceoffs at the moment |

Kulemin actually was really good this series, very quiet but never the less still good in a checking role and defensively was not bad. I really think if san jose loses this round joe thorton will be gone, joe thorton will be our best bet since SJ will have to resign both couture and pavelski and im sure they would rather keep their young guns than thorton. - Mapleleafs_91
Led the forwards in hits...but then we need to get rid of his "soft" ass for more "grit" |

Yeah but what are the odds of a team having a Joe Thornton AND a Joe Thorton? |

He is a cheap player to have, good to keep in my opinion. Guys like Liles, Grabo, Macarthur, komi(buyout) should be the guys moved |

I think Mogilny, but yeah, the point is well-taken.
The passion that makes this city attractive to FAs when times are good drives them away when things aren't so good.
I wouldn't call this a choke or a collapse. The team had no expectations going in, and got to a place nobody expected. We lost in dramatic fashion, but to say they choked implies they were expected to go further.
It's a great story for the media to sell papers, but they're missing the point. - Leeman4Gilmour
I know I'm partially blind because of my decades-long passion for this team. But I have to think at some point a quality player, in their prime, would want to try and make history by bringing a championship home to Toronto.
Imagine it? That team would be never forgotten.
I'm thinking Stamkos or Tavares. Both grew up Leafs fans. Both will be available as UFAs. Their record speaks for itself (Stamkos moreso than Tavares, but only slightly). |

Finally someone who agrees with me Stamkos will sign a contract with Toronto after his contract expires in tampa which is why he signed a short contract and not lifetime contract |

I don't assume he'll sign (definitely HOPING he'll sign) ... but I'm not going to lie when I say the thought crossed my mind - why didn't he sign longer term?
Do players try and lure other players in the offseason? (i.e. Parise and Suter mutually deciding on Minny) This was a little different as they were both UFA at the same time ... but I am thinking more about someone like Lupul or Kessel - guys with both talent and have witnessed the playoff passion of this city first hand - already signed to Toronto and calling their buddies and saying "Hey ... how YOU doing?!" |

A ref with no feelings? That already exists here. |

Train rebound reimer to catch a puck and understand what rebound control is. Basic goaltending.
Trade bozaks rights
Trade kulemin
Resign franson long term
Move some prospects and players for a top 3 dman if possible
Take a run at joe or Marleau if available - Fakepartofme
Doesn't make sense to trade our best faceoff man in a series where we lost because of faceoffs.
Kulemin makes what he should, and does what he should why trade him?
Don't mind the idea if we buy out grabo but those guys are old and probably aren't the answer. |

Find a taker for Grabovski and Liles if not then one needs to be bought out along with Komisarek.
If Horton or Clarkson or ideally both could be signed then trade Kulemin + whatever else to bring in a legit #2 D......
Oh a re-sign Bozak.. if the agent demands >4 per season then he can test the market and discover no one else will pay that.. |

I think stamkos is the type of person that wants to play for Toronto since he is from here. Im sure it was probably his dream to win the cup with a team or Toronto especially. If he signs here and brings one home for us, he will be a GOD forever here. And he fills our center problem gap which he had since sundin 3 more years then we finally see if a toronto boy who loves toronto will come home |
