Emery didn't play in the playoffs. - Jsaquella
obviously. however, he was the starter at the beginning of the year, and he won some games for them. i'm sure you recall that they needed every single point they got. emery helped them get there, even if he didn't play in the playoffs due to injury.

No, but Snider's comments were that the 2010 playoffs showed him the value of having a top notch goalie. My point was, if the 2010 playoff were the impetus, why was he OK with Leighton & Boucher Redux?

i know. i was just nitpicking a technicality. it makes you wonder had emery stayed healthy and played well over the course of the season, whether they had won the cup or not, if emery would have been re-signed.

Grohl was a riot. I want him to introduce me at meetings. - Jsaquella
it was amazing, really. so full of energy and passion, but lighthearted and fun at the same time. then again, not hard to raise the bar after belafonte talking quietly about public enemy for 30 minutes.

I think he would have. He was a good soldier here, stayed out of trouble and played solidly.
The other thing that makes me call BS on Snider is he mentioned Thomas after the 2010 playoffs....Thomas didn't play in the 2010 playoffs, at least not against the Flyers.

I really like Public Enemy, but the whole process did sort of suck the life out of the room to some extent. But the introduction by Grohl and Hawkins, and the speeches by Rush themselves were great.
When Peart said, "We're just another little dot of light in that galaxy....shaped like a Maple Leaf" I was howling.

it was all great. the foo fighters drummer was so excited, yet mispronounced neil's last name 3 or 4 times. lifeson really committed to the blah, blah, blah speech. he was all in.
my favorite part was geddy referring to himself as "a nice jewish boy from t'rono."
foo fighters were awesome with the overture to 2112, too.

Lifeson was hilarious, and Geddy's speech was very heartfelt.
True, you suggested him and Jakub Voracek, who just won the team's MVP award and is developing into a top notch winger in his own right - Jsaquella
I was just trying to tell him what it would realistically take to get someone like Mackinnon. Honestly don't think we should do a trade like that, and if we do have to move someone like B Schenn, it should be for a young up and coming Dman, not another center who down the line will just be competing for time with G and Coots. Voracek should for no reason be traded unless a team comes with some over-the-top offer. Players I would support losing B Schenn in a deal for are Dougie Hamilton, Brodin, Evander Kane, (possibly) Jake Gardiner (Toronto would need to add something to their side imo), maybe Morgan Rielly; he's a bit more of a gamble though, Keith Yandle, Slava Voynov, and John Carlson. Players of those likes.
Funny, that was the story by a few reports including this blog....was I there, no but neither were u.....pure speculation, no.....there were many that collaborated the story....connect the dots and lets move on.....I'm a 42 year old and not into he she she said stuff but there is something that caused the flyers to ship them out and fast....there was a party atmosphere w/ Lupol, carter, Richards, etc....something had to be done. - huks99
No there wasn't. It's nothing but pure speculation and rumors. Obviously you are into the he said, she said stuff.
