Another observation...
How can a sane man choose to play Tanner Glass over Jussi Jokinen? One guy can play in every situation and win's face offs. The other guy is a fringe NHL'r who didn't get his first point 'til the season was almost over. - madmike71

For what it's worth, my 5 would have been:
Letang/Sutter/Dupuis
Orpik Martin
It's sad that we threw that game away, but I still definitely think we will win this series. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think the Senators played the best game that they are physically capable of, and while the Pens played pretty well they are certainly capable of playing a stronger game. coughpowerplaycough |

I've heard some people say that Jokinen is injured. Playing Glass over Jokinen would add fuel to that rumor. - cap1681
I've heard Vitale is injured, but I believe Jokinen has been a full participant at practice. If in fact he is healthy, Jokinen would have played in every game if I'm the coach. He was money in every aspect of the game down the stretch. |

I Guerin-tee that Jokinen plays Wed.
The face-off comments that Bylsma made after the game he should have just said Jokinen will be in the lineup on Wednesday. |

I think the Sens can still play a better. They seemed to be gripping their sticks pretty tightly around the net, and missed some good opportunities (as did pittsburgh).
That being said if they think they can still take so many penalties with the same result they're in trouble. |

As a shut down guy?
I wouldn't slot him into that role.

Am I the only one that thinks Sutter needs some time in the weight room this off-season? Conditioning too. Sometime he looks like he's skating in mud....especially later in games.
Not impressed with his post season play. |

Does anybody find it funny and ironic when people whine and cry about the Penguins and Crosby whining and crying? Plus, i always laugh when Crosby gets acccused of whining when people see him talking to a ref. Isn't a team's captain's job to talk to the refs about anything going on in a game? - cap1681
It's not really the whining to the refs that's being criticised, but actually Crosby's seeming expectation that everything that happens to him should be a penalty.
Which, admittedly, is not unique to him at all - Phillips does that a lot as well. And yes, captains are actually supposed to do that. |

How do you figure? Have you actually seen their statistics? 29 points to 19 this year, similar points in half as many games last year... Maybe Sutter is better defensively, but even that is dubious.
Turris isn't a physical player, this much is true. But he is more offensively talented, no question.

1st line min compared to 3rd line shut down min. Ill take 19 pts with a shut down center man.
Turris isn't bad he just wouldn't play in the Burgh, doesn't fit in.
line 1 All-star skill center
line 2 All-star skill center
line 3 shut down center
line 4 Checking center
Where would Turris fit in? |

Your bed buddy Neil would be a spare part with Pittsburgh moreso a healthy scratch than Turris.

Would he though? Neil is very effective at what he does. Through him on a line with Cooke, and sit back and watch teh world burn. |

How dare you bad mouth Chris Neil!!
Your miss understanding me, im not saying Turris isn't a good player. Im just saying IN PITTSBURGH he wouldn't have a spot at center on our roster. |

I have no interest in Chris Neil ever being a Penguin. I don't think he carries much value whatsoever absent being a pest. At least Matt Cooke brings a solid game - can score 10-15 goals; plays a solid game and is effective on the PK.

I'd take Neil over Glass.
Sutter and Turris are similar. Turris is more offensively minded, but he has played well against Crosby. On the Penguins depth chart he would be fighting for 3rd line center minutes with Sutter.
Jeffery is a fringe NHL'er.

I can think of a couple hundred players I'd rather have than Chrissy Neil. From what I've seen he's barely ahead of Tanner Glass. |

Oh me too for sure. But as far as agitators are concerned, he's up there with the best of them. I wouldn't mind him on our 4th line. He's going to hit, he's going to fight, he's going to kill penalties, and most importantly he's going to get under the skin of the opposition. |

Is he a great teammate? Yes

Well you just ruined it Bartley. You forget that most of the people in here are only concerned about Offensive Juggernauts. If you ain't scoring goals in bunches, you don't deserve to be a penguin LMAO! Remember how everyone was bashing Kennedy because he wasn't scoring in the regular season? Well he's already scored 2 huge goals in the playoffs for us despite missing the first several games.
EDIT: HATE TO SAY I TOLD YOU SO

Chris Neil may be a great teammate, but he's slow, and not half the player a guy like Cooke is. I'd never want him in a Pens uni. |
