Oiler fans have a draft-boner for Monahan.
Give us Morgan Rielly - ystoil
lol see now the leafs are high on rielly i cant see them dealing him. for monahan, i would love him, i would still be skeptical of making that swap. if gardiner continues to develop it would take away some of the sting, and especially if monahan becomes that #1C we need |

That's why I said small flicker of hope, haha.
How about Philly, any of you Flyers fans think Holmgren would drop? - BetterCallSaul
Read somewhere that the Flyers had some level of interest in Hagg. Although the Flyers love to draft centers and they don't mind going with their own favorites (Laughton). So if they think someone they like will still be available I could see them trading their pick. |

I'd give up Finn plus the first to grab Monaghan. We'd probably need to give up more, but I'd likely do it |

I know you didn't say this, but I don't think Gardiner alone wouldn't be worth the 7th over-all pick, but Gardiner and the 21st would be too much in my opinion. I'd be willing to trade Gards for a centre any day of the week, so if there's a deal to be made with the Oil, hopefully Nonis will jump on it. |

I think Finn will end up being a better player than Percy, I can't believe Edmonton passed him last year. |

Oilers have a lot of similar prospects to Finn, what they really desperately need is a top-pairing defenseman, those are rare and hard to get, but the way they have drafted will help down the road as they could offer strength-weakness kinds of trades with teams like the Yotes/Rangers and such who are producing an abundance of talented defenders. |

see if this was next offseason, i would consider it, just because rielly isn't ready to jump in and be the offensive dman we need. gardiner opened up so much room for us in the boston series when he started playing. i cant see him being traded unless rielly is playing full time. |

I'd love to keep him. I think Rielly will be a top line guy, and having Gardiner on the second pairing would be awesome |

have you seen Percy play? I have numerous times and i am so happy with that pick. hes so calm and collected. rarely makes mistakes, has a very good first pass, above average skater and has passion. when his team is doing nothing, he's always moving his feet and going. if they aren't producing offensively, he'll jump up into the play, or rush it himself to provide some offense, and still be the first guy back. i saw them play sudbury when leivo was still playing there this season, and percy by far impressed me more then leivo did. leivo didn't start skating till his team got a lead. percy did everything in his power to bring them back into the game.

yea exactly i think gardiner's future partner will be percy as well. just love what that kid brings to the table. i'd say he's a better version of gunnarson. |

Oh, I didn't mean to sound as though I wasn't happy with Percy, He reminds me a lot of Gunnarsson when Gunnar is playing his best. Good kid too, I met him after a Marlies game, he's very polite. I hope we keep both Finn and Percy. |

I really like the idea of the Leafs future D line up. Problem is that we need a few guys for now. Enter Scuderi (I hope!)
And in answer to your previous post, Rooney would never go to City. Madrid or PSG I think |

I'd be happy with either Gardiner or Couturier, so if it happens or not, either way I wouldn't be upset. You are right that we'd see a severe hole in our D if Rielly can't take that spot over. And I completely agree with Percy being Gunnar 2.0. I remember Gunnarsson making one mistake that led to a goal against before this year, he shouldn't have played f he is indeed injured. |
