Definitely. I think that Nonis needs to also petition Moose Jaw to deal the Kid (to Edmonton!) so that he can have a shot of playing some higher level junior hockey.

If Rielly was in Edmonton, I'd get me some season seats for the Oil Kings in a heartbeat

See, I have to disagree. Rielly won't learn much more from the WHL, especially playing on that dreadful team. I think you bite the bullet and play him on the Marlies if he can't crack the Leafs line up. I think you can still release him to the WJC from the AHL.

he can't play for the marlies hes obligated to play in the juniors if he can't make the leafs thats the rule the CHL has. either he's playing for the leafs next year or hes playing in the WHL.

see blacker asked to be traded, because he was stuck behind in the depth chart and he wanted to develop more. that really helped him a lot. rielly needs to be moved, and if he isn't at the start of the season, he will for sure at the deadline because next year is his last junior year i believe.

European League players regardless of junior/pro status can join the AHL/ECHL anytime 17/18 (Tomas Tatar did at 17) and USHL players I believe can also go to the AHL immediately...though that usually means they are violating some kind of College agreement since the big College's of the NCAA try to ink good players to contracts like 3 years in advance of them attending.

yea. didn't girgenson also do that this year for buffalo? biggs also could have been playing for the marlies but i guess he needed to develop even more. not to mention with the lockout he would have been playing far down the depth chart and it wouldnt have benefited him
