This series is only 2-1. Wings fans do this all the time too, just totally freak out at the slightest sign of resistance when playing as the favorite. The Hawks are a very good team with very good players. However, I know exactly how hard it is to wait for the next game (like when the Wings lost Game 5 of the 2008 final in 3OT). I didn't think I was going to make it (and the Wings were up in the series still). - Striker7
True, but Game 4 is really a must win now for the Hawks

Stupid penalties, barking at the refs. This team looks totally frustrated at this point. This team just lacks the mental toughness to go on a long playoff run. If Stalberg takes the penalty that Keith just took, do you think he sees the ice again. Doubtful. But Keith? Q can't wait to get another power play son they can run him out there. The more I watch this team implode the more I think there has to be a change on the bench next season. - RetiredGoalie
Agreed............... And Duncan Keith needs to be the first player dealt in the off- season while he still has some trade value. Since his Norris trophy year he has been a horrible disappointment. Probably not in the top 20 defensemen in the league. How does that happen ? It is time for Nick Leddy to take over on the top pairing and get some youth in return for Keith. Trading Keith would shore up a lot of cap space to sign our FA's and find a second line center that we still don't have. |

Yes JJ, once agin it's all CC's fault!!! Give me a break!!! There was no mistakes by any other player all game!!! They win and lose as far as CC goes...
Where are teh forwards to bail him out? He is called upon to bail everyone out, yet no one needs to bail him out!!!
IT'S NOT HIS FAULT! Hockey is team's game, last time I checked! - Nerko77
Ok....here is the thing those two goals...the 1st and the 3rd were atrocious goals.....Quick and Lundqvist make those saves every time....especially the third one. Great goalies make up for the play in front of him....at times he has been great this year.....but it is time to make a change. |

He lost two games with horribly soft goals in OT last year. I mean, really? - John Jaeckel
JJ, we have butted heads plenty, but you are a well educated hockey fan. I honestly feel you can provide more insight on what is going on with the team good or bad. That is honestly it. We scored 1 goal again. Howard was good, but did not have to be great.
I will not put words in your mouth, but I think it is pretty well understood that the team is built for puck possession and offense. The goalies job in Bowmans system is to keep his team in the game with a chance to win. Capgeek shows us where the salary is. By the same standard, Kanes goal was a softie by Howard and the Stalberg one was even worse....I know the outcome of the game I get that...but anyways...I just think you have more than beating that horse.

Still not panicking....Canucks were up 2-1 in 2010...
.....but it is a must win on Thursday.
When asked what the turning point was...Danny Cleary said "The Datsyuk goal"
Crawford has to have it.....I would come back with Emery for game 4.
Hammer was the best on Defense followed by Leddy.....
Saad...Stals...Krug...Frolik.....all had good games..
Hossa..came on late....Kane good 3rd period....
Crawford....atrocious.... - UnnamedSource
Agreed.
Hawks lost 2 games against Nashville
2 Games against the Canucks ,
2 games against the Flyers ,
and still won the Cup ...
and the Shaw goal should have counted.
But on top of that Great teams move on from bad calls against them , WTF . The HAwks are who we thought they were ? a 1 center team with average goaltending and NO power play ? |

He's an average goalie who gives up bad goals at bad times. The loss was not all his fault. But he gave up saveable goals the last two games. Period. The Datsyuk goal was a backbreaker. Sorry. - John Jaeckel
The 'awesome'regular season lulled the Hawks into a false sense of security in so many ways, CC being one. |

It does look like the hawks are finally pissed off. Will it be too late? If we win game 4 it is a 3-game series with 2 at home. But they can't cross the line. Wings have been punching players all series and yet they call keith? It will be tough to walk that line. I'm shocked they didn't call shaw for that hard and legal hit in the last minute |

Exactly, that means stopping saveable shots. And there is no law that says a puck possession team can't have a great goalie.

True on Seabrook, but Crawford was awful on the first goal. The third goal, dunno, Crawford was too deep in the net, GAVE HIM THE ANGLE. It was a great shot but that spot is probably not there if Crawford is further out of the net. - John Jaeckel
Agree on the 1st and 3rd goals - won't win playoff games giving up those type on a regular basis.
But go watch the replay of the Datsyuk goal and isolate on Patrick Kane and the total lack of effort to get back on the play. Skill but no will. |

First goal, really, so when Saad, who made same move earlier, and 90 percent of shooters get that cross over move by the dman they shoot immediately. CC had to come out, because if you look at replay, GN was clean between the dots. Credit GN.
Datsyuk made the same shot vs Anaheim. It really is an amazing shot. Should we stop it, of course...but this idea the Lundquist, who has been a siv the last 2 stops all is a bit of a reach.
During the season, you rotated goalies, do it here now..that is fine. I have no beef with that. Might wake the boys up front up. |

No sarcasm.....Crawford should lose the net after tonight. Not panicking because Emery is solid and the team does play better in front of him. You don't want the team to be doubting their goal tender when the puck drops on Thursday..... |

That was bad. Compared to the way Quick has handled moves like that, and what we saw...well there is no comparison. To me, that's really the only truly bad one.
BTW, Kronwall was slashing away at Bickell's legs before Cleary came over and Bickell lost his mind. Kronwall quickly exited... |

- Hawkytalk
This is crazy inaccurate. Keith was outstanding for the second half of the and has been good in the playoffs. If you think Nick Leddy is as good as Duncan Keith I want what you smoke |

Could we get to the end of this series without trading the team or blowing the whole thing up?
There's a reason there are seven games in a series. Off those ledges, gents.

This is not the same team that found a way to win 40 regular season games. They changed everything to play playoff hockey and they broke their mojo...
They need to pretend this is still regular season and stop changing everthing that worked for almost 48 games - fvineze
Team was a fine reg. season team. Whoo hoo. They ain't built for playoff hockey......Bowman! This is on you! |

The only thing that gives me hope is that the chances are there for the Hawks. They didn't bury a lot of rebounds and chances they had, hit maybe 3 or 4 posts.
They need to learn how to finish here, starting with the Captain. |

im not sure what to make of this series right now. All I know is they looked overly frustrated and i hope to the coaching staff comes up with a better game plan for game 4. They made it to easy tonight for Howard. I think you put Emery in Game 4 if hes good to go. the last ten minutes of the game was Chicago style hockey wide open |
