Agreed............... And Duncan Keith needs to be the first player dealt in the off- season while he still has some trade value. Since his Norris trophy year he has been a horrible disappointment. Probably not in the top 20 defensemen in the league. How does that happen ? It is time for Nick Leddy to take over on the top pairing and get some youth in return for Keith. Trading Keith would shore up a lot of cap space to sign our FA's and find a second line center that we still don't have. - Hawkytalk
Ever since his teeth got knocked out in the finals he has been a less effective defensemen (still a great defender though). |

Say what you want about Bickell and Shaw, the game was over when all that went down at the end. At least they have a pulse. - John Jaeckel
Shaw is a useless piece of sh!t. He should be on the first bus out of town when this series ends later this week. |

Do you guys really think everyone in the dressing room is ignoring and whispering about CC?
I mean if Emery plays, then they will score goals. Lets go guys. This is insane. If anything they apologize to him again for not scoring.
As far as making a change to get the boys moving and going Emery...that is fine. That is the only move you can make. If Handzuis is not on the ice to take draws or even win any, then for Gods Sake play Ben Smith. - TrueGrit
It's not a matter of whispers....it's a matter of confidence....Cleary from Detroit said it himself....the turning point was the 3rd goal....and it was a bad goal. I like Crawford but I think it's time to put Emery in. Better to do it early than to late.... |

Not sure who my big brother is, but the thing that always can be counted on is your acts of douche-baggaery. It's like a broken clock being correct twice a day.

Don't you have homework to do? You may want to save some of your AOL Free hours for next game. Maybe by then you will come up with an original thought or an interesting insight.
Original thought = douche-baggery...got it...pure genius. Now go cut and paste another persons comment. |

Here's the deal kids........
1) It's an absolute shame that the Shaw goal wasn't.. well.. a goal. That's a goal 99.9% of the time in any NHL game. It completely changed the momentum of the game and possibly the entire series.
2) Crawford continues to do what he does. When his team needs him to play above average goalie he poops the bed. That goal that he gave up simply is unacceptable. It's the very reason why at the beginning of this season I said: The Hawks aren't winning the Cup. Crawford craps the bed when he's needed most.
3) At what point do the Hawks realize: The Red Wings are here to play and you need to match their intensity through a full 60 minutes? Imagine how good this team would be if Toews was playing.. wait....
4) Stating the obvious here - big time win needed in Game 4. - CaptainBlackhawk
The Hawks did not play a bad game, they played hard the whole night, they just didn't finish their opportunities. Also if you think Toews isn't effecting the game you're an idiot, he's just not scoring, which isn't good enough, but still |

Agree. Like the fight and they generally played pretty well tonight. Wish we had a few more hitters. Some of the stuff called on Shaw was laughable. He plays on the edge but he's getting whistled like he's wearing Car Bomb's number.

The PP was much improved tonight. If they keep that effort up on the PP, they will start scoring. |

Doubt they're ignoring him or whispering about him.
If you think they don't know deep down inside how good he is and how much he can be counted on when the pressure's on? Please.
The faceoff issue is all on Quenneville. Terrible call to keep putting Bolland out there.

Ok....here is the thing those two goals...the 1st and the 3rd were atrocious goals.....Quick and Lundqvist make those saves every time....especially the third one. Great goalies make up for the play in front of him....at times he has been great this year.....but it is time to make a change. - UnnamedSource
Agreed, time to put in Emery.
Jekyll and Hyde this team....do not understand that a team with so much talent are so flat sometimes....is it chemistry, bad coaching, lack of heart ? Hard to put your finger on the problem but they better wake up soon.
Here's hoping they get that spark back..... |

You guys, including JJ, have to slowly back away from the ledge for a bit longer.
Aside from the ill time turnovers, the Hawks controlled a majority of this game. The Wings just managed to capitalize.
I don't ever call out officiating as an excuse for a loss but tonight that excuse is warranted. That wave off was a back breaker of epic proportions. Although, I thought the one Hawks goal was a gift from the refs so maybe the wave off was a balancing act.
Either way, the series is only 2-1. When it becomes 4-1 then we can all start tying our nooses. |

My stock in Toews is plumitting lately.
Yes, he is great in most aspects of the game but he needs to contribute on the score sheet if this team is go any further in these playoffs.
His last meaningful goal was 4 playoff rounds and 2 plus years ago when he scored to tie the Vancouver series in game 7 at the end of the 3rd to get to overtime.
We all remember how that series ended. |
