Shaw was going to the front of the net similar to Buff in 2010 vs Vancouver and Philly unfortunately he doesn't have the size. |

This is a phucking joke. Toews and Sharp were miles and miles better than Shaw tonight. What are you talking about??? - rollpards19
TOEWS? You mean the guy in 19 that was female-dogging and losing faceoffs all game? What a freaking disappointment he has been. Sharp?? Pretty passes on the power play, OK. Nice shots into Howard's glove, OK. Great job Sharpie.
Shaw was laying guys out, effectively forechecking, and scored a goal (phuck the zebras). Say what you want about the penalties, the kid played his a$$ off today. |

Aside From My Anger, Disgust And Rage. No Sour Grapes. Props To DET Doing What Needs To To Win
- PuckkmeNOpuckU
Yep, if they win this series, I will have a very good blog on why Detroit does "more" with "less' talent. It's because everything that organization does is about th eon-ice product. The Hawks . . . they're in the "entertainment" business. They like to make commercials that they can star in. |

Shaws type of play is exactly what is needed during playoffs, too bad he is one of the few that plays that way - dpard
I think handzus should sit and carcillo should be back in the line up. |

Shaw scored a goal tonight doing what few other Hawk forwards have the will or strength to do. Th e refs just decided to take it away. And that goal might have gotten the Hawks on track to win. - John Jaeckel
Are you saying Toews doesn't go to the front of the net? Because I couldn't disagree more with that |

Of course Cleary is going to say that, he wants to mess with Crawford's head. The turning point was the second goal that the referee waived off. - hit 'em
To his credit Cleary pointed that out too. |

Of course it matters but the Hawks problem is not Andrew Shaw. - paulr
Not in the least. It's like what he did to Smith in last year's series has carried over and he's got a target on his back. Crap!

This is too little and too late criticism, but the Hawks anemic PP needs to put something together for them to turn this around.
If they don't, how does Kompon keep his job? - Fat_Tony_Amonte
I've been asking myself this all season long. What a joke! |

Doubt they're ignoring him or whispering about him.
If you think they don't know deep down inside how good he is and how much he can be counted on when the pressure's on? Please.
The faceoff issue is all on Quenneville. Terrible call to keep putting Bolland out there. - John Jaeckel
Can't the same standard or thought process apply to many of the hyped Core....the millionaires?
Who were/are to be counted on?
If the guys are really thinking about CC, then the team is done. The core should be doing a little more soul searching then looking to lay off blame. If I am wrong, again, then we do have a mental midget team.
That is my rebuttal counselor.
I was not totally unhappy with the performance as a whole, just would like to see Q leave stalberg alone and play him, and also see more urgency from the guys sooner.

He has an enormous target on his back it seems. Some of his dumb penalties have been deserved but many including that interference call were pretty borderline if not awful.
That means he needs to dial it back a little or Q needs to sit him. |

I do not disagree with your assessment of the entertainment crap. As a Chicago fan, we are sophisticated, we don't need the rah rah, spoon fed crap. Nothing is more nauseating then the first star stroking the crowd at the UC. |

Oh, they ALL need to do some soul searching. But they outshot the opponent 40-30 and controlled a lot of the game. The other team's goalie was better, and he was in Game 2, that's for sure.

Jimmy Hayes? Ben Smith? Jerem Morin? The answer is a big fat the Hawks don't have anyone remotely close. Maybe Bicks but he doesn't bring it all the time especially in the regular season. |
