He had 7 shots and a post right in front, I think its all execution not adjusting - rollpards19
whether its execution or adjustments he needs to be better...0 goals is brutal. |

Agreed, needs to be a PPG player, anything less isn't good enough |

To early to talk who's coming and who is going.....but Saad doesn't need to develop a nasty streak for him to become successful. - UnnamedSource
to a point i'll dis agree, john leclaire, hartnall, milan lucic, and a few others come to mind! just don't want him turning into another daisymae daze! |

I thought 88 was the Hawks best forward tonight. - Ogilthorpe2
Trade in that Black and White Sylvania TV you have Ogi and watch the GD game in HD. You must have been viewing the test pattern most of the night.
Kane was f'n brutal and he dogged it coming back on Datsyuk's goal. When the going gets tough, he's got skill but no will. And this is 3 playoff year's running that I've seen that act from him. Too small, perimeter player, overpaid. |

Leclaire??? not a bad guy to pattern yourself after. the kid grew up in penn watching the legion of doom line & I think Leclaire put some time in with the pens also. |

I've got 60" of crisp beautiful LED HD hanging on my wall...plenty big enough to see Sharp lose interest in playing D on goal 2 in game 2, but I didn't see anything wrong with Kane's play tonight. |

I don't think Saads path to success is going to be that of a true power forward. I think he needs to put on some weight and with that may come more physical play by finishing checks etc....but expecting him to drop the gloves is not what he will become. |

I probably missed that. My binoculars are cheap and Kane plays so far away from the net its impossible to identify whether thats him or not. I just happened to see him quit altogether on the Datsyuk goal. |

hey go to spectors, richardson is ponying up 29 & 25?? like that will be SB's big chore this summer??? hell I'd let them both walk & take that cash and get a true stud #2 center! what the F Lyle!! but knowing Bowman he'll give those 2 stu nods a big raise and try to bandage the #2 center again next season. |

Leclaire didn't fight much but he did play with a respectful amount of redass during his days! unlike 7/8ths of this team! |

yes sir....absolute brutal phantom call...the ref saw #65...and decided to make it up and make him an example; i don't give a poop about the rule book....that call is never made 99 out of 100...or they better start wiping out 20% of the goals in this league - bogiedoc
The irony here, Wing fans have said/thought the same thing for years - having seen goal after goal disallowed because of Holmstrom, even when he wasn't in the crease. Want to talk about a player being abused basically every shift, cross checked 10 times in a row and no calls made- look at Homers career.
I said earlier its all about perception and where ones loyalty lies. There are missed calls and bad calls made every period of every game for all teams. The subject tends to come up after a loss.
I keep reading Hawk fans calling for more penalties to be called on the Wings but through 40 mins tonight, PP's were 4-1 Hawks. Were there other things that could have been called? Sure, for BOTH teams (the announcers said a few times in 1st period alone "Hawks got away with one").
The hit on Franzen we've seen not called ( like tonight) to if a player is injured, 5 and sometimes suspensions.
I was hoping for a series where the officials didn't play a part. Tonight my perception was they played a part in swinging the game for and against both teams. Against the Wings/for the Hawks for not calling the hit on Franzen and the Hawks going down the ice and scoring. Against the Hawks/ for the Wings by waiving off that goal. I hate make up calls- but I think what waiving the goal off was. Yes there is a rule, but a rule that is not enforced on any regular basis ( unless your name is Holmstrom).
This series is far from over. I figured the Hawks would come out strong after losing game 2- I can only imagine how they will come out on Thursday. Whom ever wins game 4 will probably win the series

So if hawks lose the series do you think Q could be gone? 2 1st round exits and a 2nd round exit. True there were a lot of changes in 2011 but would you want Lindy ruff as a coach? He didn't have a lot of great players to work with over the years but he liked offensive teams |
