So if hawks lose the series do you think Q could be gone? 2 1st round exits and a 2nd round exit. True there were a lot of changes in 2011 but would you want Lindy ruff as a coach? He didn't have a lot of great players to work with over the years but he liked offensive teams

Interesting questions and was discussed a few pages ago....has a Jack Adams nominee ever been fired?

Good night boys, thanks for letting me vent. Enjoy the last two games of the season, I don't have the stomach for it anymore.

But he had 29 points in 22 games in that run...
- Mahewman

yes he did...he does helluva alot more important things out there than be depended upon to score...but now the hwks need some reversion to the mean from him...

3-31 or 3-21 if you want leave out the last 10 2010 playoff gmes is sub par to say the least of his DNA and caliber of player

I've got 60" of crisp beautiful LED HD hanging on my wall...plenty big enough to see Sharp lose interest in playing D on goal 2 in game 2, but I didn't see anything wrong with Kane's play tonight.
- Ogilthorpe2

As usual, shift the subject to Sharp, whatever makes you happy..

He isn't the only one, but Patty Kane ain't getting it done for your Blackhawks buddy.

Want a reason why the PP doesn't work - on one of them tonight there was all kinds of fancy passing going on. #88 gets the puck in the right corner and had time and 30 feet to take the puck to the front of the net because the Dmen were totally gassed. But he doesn't have the guts to move in for a direct shot because its the danger zone -nasty things happen there. He passed it off to the point and of course the shot was blocked.

We'll leave it at this - i dislike Kane as much as you dislike Sharp.

I think its fair to leave out the last 10 games of 2010, he still did a lot and produced some points. 11 pts in his last 21 playoff games is nowhere near cutting it though

I screamed at this too. Take the puck to the net when there is no one in between you and the goalie

Yeah it would seem strange to fire one. Can't take anything away from this regular season. Was amazing. But, it is all about winning the Cup. 3 quick exits aren't great on a resume. Plus it isn't often a great coach becomes available. What if Trotz was fired? I hate Nashville's style but he is a great coach. Wonder what he could do with this team? Wonder how patrick roy does in colorado?

I've always believed a trip to the WC assures Q and his staff a 2013- 2014 return. An exit after the 2nd round is 50/50....but the fact that he was nominated for a Jack Adams makes me believe he gets a 2 year extension but Kompon or Kitchen or both are gone.....but then that raises the question...will Q except that. Who knows?

Let's hope we don't have to worry about that and we make it to western conference championship at the least cant see Q being pleased about either asst. Going even though both should. PP has been bad for awhile now but kompon isn't helping it any

The Hawks have put themselves into this hole by being very very bad at the power play.

There is no excuse . Look at all the talent on this team, zero results with the man advantage.

Disquesting.

Having a good goal taken away from you on the road never helps but the Hawks should never have been in that situation to vegin with...

It feels like it would take an act of Christ for the Hawks to net 2 ppg in 1 game

Getting real sick of the absolute garbage refs in all the series so far these playoffs. It just boggles my mind that Toews is hung all over on this while series and not a call yet !! Kronwall taking baseball swings at Bickells legs after the whistel. Its getting really old really quick. Yes i understand the PP sucks anyways but it will break through eventually here. Big red gett hit from behind was a close call but as I have said before maybe if you dont act like a female dog and turn ur back to the player in the last moments to pull a "you can hit me" moment you wouldn't be laying on the ice faking a injury to get a call as the puck ends up in ur net.

In the end im still confident the Hawks will right the ship, 4 posts and a bullpoop disallowed goal means we could have had a 6-3 win if it was a couple inches this way or that. Come with this effort or better and we will take the series. Go Hawks and Detroit Sucks !!

Agree, Saad did an acceptable job tonight. But for those who skewer Stalberg for lack of finish, #20 couldn't finish a small dessert if his mother spoon fed it to him.

But at least he competed, unlike #88.

Thanks for the laugh. Needed something to start the morning right.

Do you see people giving up here troll ? Btw ur whole fanbase was built off bandwagon fans so u all need to get off ur high horse.

The Hawks hit 4 posts and had a good goal called back, if it wasnt for all that help the refs gave ya plus those posts ud be crying on ur own boards about ur loss.

Lot of angst but no bandwagon fans on this board. Have heard similar things from Wing fans the last few years after early round playoff exits. The most ridiculous thing I kept hearing was how Howard wasn't very good and he was a problem.

Still plenty of hockey left this series...I hope.

A good start would be removing Keith from the top unit. He was almost singlehandedly responsible for taking a minute off of one of our PP's.

Leddy needs to be on the top unit PP.

I think if Franzen is controlling the puck, it's not offsides, even if he is in before the puck.

Correct. The player can cross the blueline ahead of the puck if he is in possession of it.

Blaming the refs, the crowd, the anthem singer, the slashes, interference, crosschecks or any other infractions are all excuses. The Hawks are in trouble because they can't overcome the intense checking because the powers that be either forgot or neglected to consider that typical playoff hockey is all about defense, physical play, going to the net and getting shots on goal for rebounds and deflections and not about a finesse team trying to make 47 passes before they shoot on the net with no one in front. Management thought that this team, as is, was capable of winning the cup against teams that know what wins Championships. Hopefully the Hawks can turn it around and win this thing, but I for onw wouldn't bet the rent money on it.
