Watching Richards in this last round against the Sharks it is obvious why LA traded so much for him. Not that we needed to see more. He is a heck of a player.

Ohh yeah, I forgot to brag that I went to the SJS/LA game 3. I was the a-hole yelling Carter sucks as loud as I could when he got a bad penalty. A few observations: that arena seems really small, the fans are not as angry, the teal with some black jerseys in the audience doesn't look like a united front from the fans base (when you have red or orange it looks like a wall) and the place was rocken. Good times!

I'd like to stay at 11. Take the best player available. If there is someone you really like in the late first than move up with the 2nd rounder.

I like our options at 11 quite honestly. If we move up we'd probably take a forward. As it is, whichever of Nurse, Ristolian, or Pullock falls to us, great. I don't see the point of trading back unless it includes getting the Defensman we want now, and I don't see the point in giving up assets to move forward as none of those players are really that much better.

This is the right decision

I like our options at 11 quite honestly. If we move up we'd probably take a forward. As it is, whichever of Nurse, Ristolian, or Pullock falls to us, great. I don't see the point of trading back unless it includes getting the Defensman we want now, and I don't see the point in giving up assets to move forward as none of those players are really that much better.

I would try to take Pulock or Ristoleinen. If a guy like Hagg drops to the mid to late twenties I look to move up with the 2nd.

I have a feeling that first rounder gets traded for the defenseman they need.

Taylor Leier just took a headshot and needs help to get off the ice. (no penalty, it wasn't the target but it was what was hit)

Random Thoughts:

I felt that Gillis deserved to be fired as much or more than Vigneault.

Watching the Pens lose in the 2nd round would be about half as fun as watching them flunk out in the 1st round, but still fun.

I don't believe for a second that Edler is coming to Philly.

I still can't believe that Adrian Dater was spreading that rumor about the Flyers being in on Luongo in a big way back at the deadline.

The general consensus with this draft is that there's a dip in quality after 35 or so.

If I can trade the 11th and 41st picks and get the 14th and 23rd/24th, I'd seriously consider it. Still getting a good player at 14 and have a shot at a far better player than they'd see at 41 by adding another pick in the top 30
