I'm just saying, as an objective observer I thought it was Tbay looking foolish on the play. Maybe its because I grew up playing defense and was always taught to only move the puck if you have to. - FinAddict
I think that you bring up a key point; it's all about mentality. As I pointed out in a previous post, it benefited the Lightning to keep the Flyers out of the Bolts zone for as long as possible. It looked silly, but it did what it was supposed to do given the team's situation on defense and in goal. |

Robyn Regher could fill-in quite well into our line up and seeing as you think Brewer will stay, what do you think of this:
Hedman/Salo (Aulie, because Salo may not be capable of 82 games)
Carle/Regher
Brewer/Gudas
Regher seems to be very unspectacular, but dependable and simple. Perhaps he could solve our defensive woes.
Others, through UFA could be Adam Pardy, Steve Eminger, Andrew Ference or Andrew Alberts. Personally I'd love to see a trade with Columbus for Jack Johnson. |

I don't think Johnson's what we need right now, IMO. I would sell the farm for a player like Bogosian out of Winnipeg though. A Bogosian/Hedman top pairing would be incredible for years to come. As much as I'm excited for Drouin or MacKinnon, Seth Jones was the guy I desperately wanted to see for that exact reason. |

We need to start a movement. An Anti-Frantz Jean grassroots and tell them we don't want him ruining any of our goalies! |

good idea
i like your idea on whitney...he doesnt play because i don't think he likes it in edmonton...wasn't he asking for a trade earlier this year? ...hes a solid defenseman when hes at the top of his game, maybe hes just one of those guys who needs a change of scenery ...but i expect it to come with a price? or is he a UFA this summer?
although franz did outstanding work in the juniors with the moncton wildcats in the QMJHL...he had Cory Crawford and got him goalie of the year....and won himself many other awards his time there....hes been a ghost coach in the NHL and seems like has only made goalies worse! i guess he did have his work cut out for him when he had crawford but.. |

I've liked Streit for a long, long, long time. If we could land him, I'd be thrilled. |

Al Murray and company seem to really like Valeri Nichushkin for the third overall pick. |

It honestly might make a little bit of sense. Adding a prospect with his size and skill couldn't hurt our system. He's a monster out there.
EDIT - I'm doing a blog on him. |

There's no way the team takes someone who lots of people have projected to go outside the top-10 inside the top-3. Read up on Nichushkin and you'll like what you find. |

You mean like Koekkoek won't go at ten right? Or that Malcolm Subban will go before Vasilevski? See here's the thing, Yzerman doesn't follow the standard script. |

Selecting at ten is different than selecting at three. Most people thought Vasilevski was the better prospect. |
