And for the love of Christ please stop shooting pucks from the blue line, guys.

EDIT: As the primary method for shooting, I mean ... Detroit's blocking a ton.

- stp1978

Yeah! That only seems to work against Crawford. Most Goalies still playing play as though they belong there and can usually stop shots from 50 feet out.

Which is why this whole thing is going to be foisted on Q. McDonough and Stanley will either never allow it or could never pull it off.

So just blame Q—then it'll be the same team with a couple of bottom of the roster guys swapped out. New coach, who is likely not going to be any better (or as good as) than Q.

But it buys this arrogant, dysfunctional front office more time.

Hawks need an epic third period or its over
- John Jaeckel

It's over John, sad to say this but I think you know and everyone else does -- including the guys wearing the jerseys with the Indianhead.

No push back. Your big boys not showing up -- Toews with another good chance but does nothing with it.

And to Retired Goalie -- Roszival is bad tonight and has been bad the last few games. He's burned out. If you are going to blame Leddy for the 2nd goal . . . . well not much to say there. He had his guy. Can't do anything about a goalie that can't stop a beach ball from 60 ft.

Why do hawks fans want him gone? Sure he's not physical or a defensive stud but there aren't too many players better than him at his position and he's still really young.

PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

You can see the Hawks have given up. No fight, no push back. No nothing.
You can see it in the Hawks demeanor, the way they carry themselves head down. They look defeated.

If this isn't on Q, then who?
Keep mixing your lines, see what it gets you.

If they fired Q as soon as he exits tonight's handshake line that would be all right by me. He has NEVER beaten Babcock in a playoffs series.

- savvyone-1

Amen. Needs to happen. Team was totally dominated in that period. They looked like the older, slower, less talented team. You can blame Bowman for plenty but Hawks should have beaten the wings with the team as it is. Not saying they win the cup with this team but should have beat Detroit.

Was it me or did Bolland see very little ice time in the second period?

Think how much Luongo would enjoy beating the Canucks as a Hawk after the way he has been treated there. Was trying to even up salary cap without sending another player with Kane, now agree a pick wouldn't accomplish that...

Good luck in the 3rd.

This game isn't over but the Hawks need a goal bad and no more softies. Big saves do not cancel out soft goals. Some of this is on Crawford.

They do. They need to start making passes; they were real sloppy in the 2nd half of the second period.

Should they go back to some familiar line combinations?

Agreed. I can't help but think the front office is just looking for a reason to can him. Hopefully whomever is coaching next season will ask for a new goalie
- eburgio

I would rather have a team that is not afraid to hit someone. I am sick of the Hawks smirf team with perhaps 1 or 2 players that hit. Can anyone here tell me if there was one decent hit by a Hawk. I did not see a single meaningful hit. I am sick of seeing a wussy hockey club

The second goal given up by Crawford was just brutal. I still want to know where the rest of this team is. Kane has been TERRIBLE. I'm watching him skate away from pucks while board battles are going on, like he expects someone else to do all the work and then get him the puck too. Way too passive.

Kane had a great chance in the first, made a nice rush, passed up a shot point blank in the slot and tried to get cute by dangling and going backhand.

NEVER PASS UP THE SHOT POINT BLANK. NEVER.

Not blaming him for 2 nd goal at all. That is all on Crawford, but he has turned the puck over a few times in our own zone which have led to good chances for Detroit. Not the only one guilty of that either.

At least Toews takes the puck to the net. Talk about not showing up look at 88. Also its ridiculous you're saying its over, I hope you don't watch the rest of the game since you seem to know the outcome
