It's like the Bears. Lovie Smith asked for a QB....he got Cutler. Wanted a RB....resigned Forte. Wanted a WR...got Marshall. Missed the playoffs by choking and he got axed. Coach Q got everything he asked for this season.

Hawks totally getting outplayed. Wings doing what Hawks should have been doing once they scored. Hawks failed to play two solid games back to back all playoffs. Detroit will hook, hold, clutch and grab their way to the win now. The late goal and two PP's without a goal hurt. I won't mention the bad goal let in by Crawford as I know that is taboo. He's played well for most of the playoffs but needed his best game today.

Not aware of all the Hawks move, but wouldn't it be tough to fire him after the season they had? I guess that also might make it easier to fire him.
Hawks are a good team and I hope they win and we see an LA/Hawks series, but both series could still go either way.

I can look past Versteeg. I can look past Ladd. I can even look past Byfuglien. But Stanbow should've been run out of town for letting Niemi walk over what ultimately amounted to a couple of hundred k.

Agreed. I can't help but think the front office is just looking for a reason to can him. Hopefully whomever is coaching next season will ask for a new goalie? Not saying firing Q wouldn't be justified in some way, but the front office is incompetent as well
