Tortorella fired.

I'm not advocating the release of Laviolette, but I think Tortorella would be a good fit in Philly.

I'd prefer Alain Vigneault.

Not directed at you but it almost feels like I'm the only one that still likes lavy's system. I think it can work with this team as is.... Maybe a tweak to increase team speed (especially on defense) and team discipline. The rest comes down to blue collar Wayne Simmonds-like work ethic from each player which was not happening last season.

I think the team overachieved considering the youth and injuries 2 seasons ago. Then last seasons injuries piled up just as bad if not worse.. Playing 2 consecutive years with the mass injuries suffered just sucked the life out of them, thus all the apathy on the ice. Jmo.... But I'd like to see a somewhat healthy season before writing the coach and this team off.

hell no. Torts may be even more overrated than Ruff, and he's such an unbelievable ass hole I want no part of him.

have to admit it would be fun to see him tell Tim to go eff himself about a billion times a year though...

that would be the ONLY redeeming aspect of his tenure.
