havlat should be a surefire compliance buyout, and having torres in the mix would make a pretty significant difference. - hiway39
NMC has no affect on compliance buyout, right? I agree, Havlat's gotta go. I was pretty excited when Sharks picked him up. Man, what a dissapointment! |

not a chance. Sharks showed up this playoff more than in the past and where solidly coached. They just faced a goalie that is currently playing lights-out and that was the difference to get the Kings over the top.
Need to sign Torres (cant believe I am saying that) and replace Havlat.
Looking forward to the start of the season. |

Please fire Todd, so the Canucks can hire him. |

I have to give credit to the Sharks... they played awesome an equal combatant, in the end the small advantage of home ice was the only difference. This is a different Sharks team. I can no longer call them the Chokes, they played hard and did not give up. |

Dang man... just dang. I was really pulling for you guys. Like Vancouver, it's time for some changes. You guys need a little forward depth on the 3rd/4th lines and it's time for some of your older guys to maybe go bye bye.. what is your prospect pool like? - Panthers88
Not very good. Thornton and Boyle were our best forward and Dman so I don't think we need to pull the plug yet. Marleau... I love the guy but I think he's expendable.
Agreed on the 3rd/4th lines comment, 0 goals in 11 games from 3rd and 4th liners is outrageous. Burish should be the only untouchable player not in the top 6 |

Larry Robinson did a fantastic job this year. If TM does get fired (which he shouldn't, but who knows) he should take over the helm. |

Sharks overall were the better team, I know this. However, Quick was on fire. I didn't like all his whining and moaning (btw how does he get called for embellishment, and Burish still gets called for interference...shouldn't it be one or the other?), but he is an amazing goalie when he is on. Kings rode him this series, the rest of the team was really flat. A flash from Williams, and Carter, but the other "Stars" didn't even show up. Quick truly stole the show. Congrats Kings, I'm proud of my Sharks, overall they were the better team...it does sting to be beat by one guy. |

It can be both. You can trip a guy and instead of just falling they fall do a cartwheel and fake a stroke all the the same time. The tripping is still valid and embellishment is still valid.
I have a hard time saying either one of the teams was the better team. Quick was 100% the reason the Kings are the winners. You swap goalies for game 7 and I think you can say to a certain degree the Sharks would have won. Games 1 and 2 the Sharks played well but lost, bad calls, bad luck what ever it is they seems to control more of the game. So in the end does seeming to control a game make you a better team even when you lose? Game 3 the Kings I felt controlled the game better but they still lost. Tweaky game was a good series to watch.
FREE TORRES!!! I gotta say even with his reputation and the fact I don't like him way too much, his hit didn't look malicious at all (used to hate him so I'm warming up), maybe my teal sunglasses don't let me see what really happened but this wasn't anything close to what he has done in the past.

Then I guess you weren't the better team, unless you are arguing that the goalie isn't REALLY REALLY part of the team. If you lost because we had a better goalie, then guess what, GET A BETTER GOALIE.
You lost because we had the better goalie, thus we had the better team.
I guess Gretzky should give back all his rings. Many teams were better man for man than the Oilers, but they had Gretzky. Same lame logic.

I'm go glad the kings knocked out the sharks and I'm going to gloat! For a team that has never won the big game and are better known for choking, their fans are sure arrogant.
See ya next year losers! |

I totally agree. Mucho respect to the Sharks. This series could of very easily gone the other way. Looking forward to renewing the rivalry next season! |

everyone talks about how the Kings lack scoring but with all the greatness attributed to San Jose, they scored less. Was it Quick or San Jose's inability to put it in the net where Quick can't get it? Maybe or most likely both! |

Sure, a goalie can steal a win for you here or there, but 24 playoff steals in the last 12 months? Really? |

I think we were referring to this series, not the previous 5. |
