I'm way to opinionated to be neutral
Edit; All kidding aside I do feel kind of neutral these days but i think it's more of a wait and see kind of mentality. I think Snow's decisions this offseason will say a lot. |

id be fine with yandle but i want a shutdown Dman... - LetsGoIsles
Any team could use a guy like Yandle, but the Isles need a shut down top pair d-man with some size to clear guys out and mobility to stay with the better skaters. |

ill give dee this, she did bring up Brad Richards...
if he is bought out, what are your opinions on isles signing him?? - LetsGoIsles
I'd sign Richards to a one year deal for a little money. He can be slotted in as second line center and a PP point man. You can then put him on a line with Grabs and another wing (Nino? Lee? Nelson) on your second line. That lets you slot Frans/Bailey/KO as your third line and Cizikas/Martin/McDonald as your fourth. But if you think Strome is the second line center we've been needing, there's no need to sign Richards. Maybe you put Strome on RW with JT and MM? He's out of position there, but maybe he can swing it. |

It would never work. Grabner would regress due to the lack of speed Richards plays the game with at this point and time. - tomburton99
Grabner hasn't been playing with any particular center with any regularity since Cappy started coaching him. Grabs is faster than any center he will skate with on the Islanders. I think it could work, provided there was a good RW to go with them. |

He's not going to do much and IMO he should'nt have too. Some of the "little things" he has to do though are very important and can make me hate him as much as before reeeeeaaal quick! |

Grabner doesn't need linemates to be as fast as he is...unless the Isles get like...Hagelin or Hall, he's never going to have that. He just needs people out there to hit him with passes right as he hits his stride. In fact, I'm not even sure he needs that...guy seems to score goals no matter who he's out there with and no matter how much they cut his ice time. |

Nearly impossible. that's why you either have to draft one or trade for one. You're not getting that guy on the open market as a UFA without drastically overpaying. I don't even think a guy like that is available this summer. |

Without looking I'd say probably not? Defensemen have been at a premium for some time now. Tough commodity to come by. Hopefully our all defenseman draft nets us a couple? |

Well if that's the case it is sad. It's time to move the dead wood out, we're turning a corner. I think it's time you start writing the facking Islanders blog. |
