Well if that's the case it is sad. It's time to move the dead wood out, we're turning a corner. I think it's time you start writing the facking Islanders blog.
- Cptmjl

Ha!! I wouldn't even know how to start. I would just start a thread every couple of days and let us talk about what ever is going down at the time. I still like the idea of each taking turns posting something

Something like this...
"FACKING.....'

Happy to help out with the writers block!

I had suggested the bloggers roulette a while back and everyone seemed into the idea....unfortunately there's one thing standing in our way...and she's facking awful.

if there is one thing i learned last night its that the islanders are not as bad of a victim to officiating as i once believed...(except against The Kaspers)

Tell me about it. I couldn't believe that call. What a mess that would have been if Chicago didn't win in OT.

What do you think is going to happen this offseason with you guys? MacTavish possibly making a splash to change the opinion of management and show he means buisness maybe?
- Cptmjl

Well Mac t has been a breath of fresh air in that he's more up front with what he wants.

He will approach free agency with caution
Unsure of dubnyk as a starter
Wants to get bigger down the middle but wants to sign gagner, which I think we should trade
Wants to change up the bottom six as he is quoted as saying th were at best non factors
He has spoken to GMs about moving up and down the draft.

My preference to start is get some vets signed that can take pressure off the young guys and add scoring. Ryder and lapiere are options. Sign someone like Horton or bickell.

I want horcoff and Hemmer gone as they are too accustomed to losing.

I'd like to see us move up to get barkov, but let him develop a year or two.

You'd do a good job. I'd say about 90% of us on here have enough knowledge of the game and this team to write a thought provoking blog which would at the very least start some conversation. It's not that difficult I can think about a bunch of shat to write about off the top of my head as I type now. Stuff that I'm sure most of us could relate too. It's incredible how she can touch on a topic occaisionally that would interest most Isles fans and have it contain zero informnation related to the topic OR write something that has such little to do with anything relevant that after reading the title you know it's not even worth wasting 2 minutes of your life reading it. She is incredibly good at being really bad. I guess one of us could write a blog in the fornt of the thread and we could just comment from there?

I'm certainly willing to add my signon to any type of petition. I think my originial suggestion was for one person to write the first blog, then PM (secretly) the individual they had chosen to write the next one. If nothing else, it would be fun to figure out who wrote it and I'm sure it would be more conducive to decent conversation/debates. I suppose since some teams have two bloggers, it would be possible to request a 'ghostwriters' blog be opened by Ek. It would be funny as hell to see the disparity in reader comments between Dee's blog and the Ghostwriters!

The officiating has been awful as a whole, but my lasting impression of the league's incompetence this year will be this...

-- Still one more day until deadline, but all indications are Isles will not sign 2011 5th-round D Brenden Kichton.

-- Kichton, leading scorer among D-men in WHL this season, can go back into the NHL Draft.

-Per Staple

Well, that would suck.

It's cool the first couple of times behind the scenes and that's about it. Unless you're a 12 yr old who is star struck

I'm sure they tried. Who knows the reason why. Maybe the kids demands are too high or they just don't think he is as good as everybody thinks. Overaged kids seem to have inflated stats but like I said who knows.

Well, he put very good stats up last season too. I don't know if the demands can be too outrageous...only so much you can ask on an ELC. I think the bridge was probably burned, or at least damaged, when he was actively asking for a contract and a chance to play in BPort this past season to no avail. Heck, I'd have rather watched him in BPort this year than Wishart! Really, I'm just not crazy about giving up on a talented prospect without at least seeing what he can do in the pro ranks given a chance.

Yeah that's not bad either I don't know how it works now but back in the day we had access to pregame spread as well. Granted it was like eating cheap deli catering but it was free. Last I heard they charge the press for bottled water

I'm sure they would like to have him too but obviously there is something going on there that we don't know about. I'm still a little ticked that they let Spurgeon get away and kept Ness instead

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
It's believed NYI would, under right circumstances, have interest in VAN G Roberto Luongo, tho 1st order of biz is to gauge cost on Nabokov.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Nabokov is UFA. As for circumstances on Luongo, almost goes without saying it would mean VAN taking Rick DiPietro for compliance buyout.

Have at it...

Also, this:

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
BTW, NYI are not "tolling" contract of G Tim Thomas. That means his NHL contract expires this summer and is UFA with no obligation to anyone
