Yeah, You new and recent guys were posters were making me crazy, so I got on the treadmill for a half hour.

Pre-game ReCap:

We expect Quick to be the best player, but Blackhawks don't want him to be, that will be their job, not the posters here.

We expect the Kings to be physical quick on all opportunities and "just off most of the team knowing what it takes to win from doing so last year."

Scoring first will be huge in this series for the Hawks. An early lead allows them to do what they do best with puck possession, speed, and forechecking, as opposed to having to adapt to a dump-and-chase strategy against the big-bodied Kings skaters. Their X-factor of course is Quick, who seems to be back to his Conn Smythe form, winning several games through the first two rounds. From what I've watched, he seems to be playing even further out of his net than last year, similar to Tim Thomas in 2011. Hawks need guys to crash the net on any rebound opportunities, because Quick doesn't give up many. The Hawks won the season series, but had a lot of trouble maintaining intensity in the third period in the latter two games. Let's hope they can give a full 60-minute effort. Originally I worried about this matchup down the road, but after the way we bounced back against Detroit, I like our chances.

I didn't read all the pages of the same thing--Quick is awesome, so are we, need to score and be fast. I get it all, agree with many.

But I'm like JJ in the sense that I will admit to being a homer. Can't wait to watch the best teams play the greatest sport for the most sought after trophy in the world.

I don't know how much it has been talked about as I have not read all posts,but am happy Bicks is on the 1st line.I really was hoping to see him given a top 6 opportunity earlier but feel that the streak prevented this.To me Q would have loved to mix things up during the regular season, but was handcuffed by "the streak".Hard to believe that only weeks ago Stalberg was rated high by many on these boards and Bickell was just the reliable journeyman who under achieves.Really hoping he succeeds and it would also be nice to see 25 increase his value as the playoffs move along.

If I'm not mistaken, the 29-26-81 line was considered the first line in the latter half of the Detroit series. So if Q keeps the same lines, Bickell technically is on the first line.

Tsn reported this morning that he was playing on the first line on Sports Centre.Never seen anything else anywhere, but I considered the source reputable.29,19 and 81 was their report.
