False, but spoken like a former goalie. It's 50/50, they both have to better...much better. - Ogilthorpe2
I gave Crawford his blame. Bad play of the puck behind the net. However, if Bolland makes the smart play, nothing happens there. Instead he put it right on Williams stick. Bolland and smart have not gone in the same sentence these playoffs.

Thanks for clearing that up....
So either Crawford or Bolland (perhaps both) are complete morons and LA leads by 1 after 1 despite being completely outplayed.
Sounds like the formula we've seen frequently...outplay your opponent but struggle to score. Not a good formula when Jonathan Quick is in goal. |

You could say 60% Bolland & 40% Crawford on that one. Regardless of who is to blame, as Ogi said, this will be a short series if the Hawks make those kind of mistakes.

If Crawford makes the smart play, Bolland doesn't have to. Crawford was asked to do very little in the period...he still found a way phuck things up. Playoff Corey...he'll kill you every time. |

Regardless of what Crawford did, that goal is ALL ON BOLLAND. Sorry Ogi. I know you don't agree but that's the facts. Bolland had the puck, no pressure and attempts to throw it either to Leddy or across the ice (meaning across the middle, which is a big NO NO). |

Yeah, but he's wrong. Crawford started the downward spiral with a poopty play of his own...he's far from blameless. - Ogilthorpe2
That goes without saying here, CC carries the blame for any and everything on this board. |

None of the stats matter. It's 1-0 Kings after 1 . |

And was Crawford ANYWHERE NEAR being in position when the puck crossed the goal line? |

Crawford made a bad play on the goal.mbolland compounded that by trying to go up the crease with the puck.
Williams made a great play by pressuringBolland.
I'd like to see the Hawks up 3-1 after 2.... |

In case this has come on too gradually and unnoticed, one of the Hawk adjustments to offset the heavy forecheck has CC making a few outlets. He has done it at least a dozen times the last series and a half. This is keeping team from getting hemmed in and transitioning the other way.
Even if he is in goal on the right post where Bolland is, it would still have been a tough save for him.
All in all, great period, just keep it up and we will be fine. |

It was a scramble in front of the net...a scramble created in its entirety by Crawford's ineptitude. Yes Bolland's clearing attempt was stupid, but the only reason the puck was anywhere near the net is because Crawford placed it on the doorstep for the Kings. Those are the facts, your hatred for Bolland is clouding your judgement. |

L.A. getting traffic and their point men are trying fire into lanes where L.A. sticks are. Wish we'd do that, but we employ some KNOB named Kompon.
Then Quick ROBS Kane on the pass across and shoot. |

The called it an unassisted goal but only because they don't give assists to the opposing team's players. Just a dumb play, but not surprised Bolland was involved. - RetiredGoalie
LOL! Thanks, but I was being sarcastic about the A, and am aware that the NHL doesn't credit assists to players who help the opposing team score goals.
20 SOGs now i think... The "standing on his head" cliche is in action tonight. |

No net presence. If Quick sees it, he'll stop it. Gotta get in his face, even at the risk of a GT interference penalty. |
