I heard that potentially someone's gonna throw him around 4 yrs and 10+ mil. We will only be able to do somethin like 3 yrs and 8 mil. Stalberg is gone for sure i agree. - SimpleJack
Where are you getting those numbers? |

He is the best on the PK as well.Who is the PK coach anyways?I cannot recall seeing any credit given to the coaching staff, now the PP that is another story.Plenty of blame laid there. |

Sharp, Hossa, Keith are my top 3. I'll let Crow be 4th.
In other new, the Bruins look to sweep the Pens. I am glad they are exposing the Penguins for the team they really are.

Looks stronger than Salak. Garth's blog says the Wild were looking to sign him to be their new starter next year. Several other teams made offers.
Crow is UFA when 15? He will want Howard plus money. If he keeps playing like this he may deserve it. Isn't that a departure from the Bowman formula? - tredbrta
My comment was based on next season..but.
Crawford with a good finish here and a fine season next year will be worth close to Howard money as long as the Cap is above $70 mill.
Howard is a hefty cap hit now but if he stays at this level or improves 3 years from now it won't feel so big.
The Hawks are different than the Wings from the satnd point they have more $5 mill + players so it depends what the team looks like then.
Rataa may be great but I would like to see him versus NHL players first before getting too worked up.
Hawks continue to roll with a 4-2 victory, Quick looks human. "Soft" Hawks taking care of tough Kings:FOX Chicago: http://bit.ly/15ynJtj |

Name a team who has the defensive depth and forward speed that the Hawks do out of this list:
San Jose Sharks
St. Louis Blues
Boston Bruins
New Jersey Devils
Phoenix Coyotes
St. Louis Blues (last year)
Vancouver Canucks - CaptainBlackhawk
Wow. I hope the team has a far more realistic attitude than this board. We have had a some great effort and games but lets not get too overly confident. A few favorable bounces and they could be kicking our a**. We have to really work our butts off to ensure that doesn't happen especially going into their turf now!

Do the Pens look dreadful or what?...
...conversely, the Bruins look great.
Sweep likely in the east. |

Predicted this. Pens are all offense and nothing else.
At least they can always remember dominating the Sens |

I agree on all counts. I can see raanta being successful, though. Just a gut feeling but I agree about seeing him in nhl first. I also never liked having so many players making over 5 million, even with a 70 million cap or whatever it might be around 2 years from now |

Antti Raanta is a nice depth acquisition at this point. Time will tell how it works out, but since the Hawks have few quality goalie prospects finding them outside the organization is a must. |

And I would say you are wrong and am undermining the whole premise of an MVP if you believe he is the MVP based on his performance so far.
