Grigorenko, Girgenson, Armia, Larrson, can all play in rochester the only to that might have to play in the chl is the 8th and 16th pick. - mike13wilkins
Grigorenko's rights are still held by his junior team and cannot play in the AHL next season. |

Didn't he play in the playoffs (Rochester) this year?

I agree.
All I'm saying is this reminds me of early in the Sabres season when we sucked, we blamed Miller. Then Enroth went in and was equally as bad. He wasn't
big enough to fill the net". As the season progressed and we got our heads out of our asses suddenly the goalies looked better. - Buffalo--Sabres
I understand your point.
I guess when you are deep in a playoff run (i.e. Penguins), then lack of goaltending is magnified even more! |

Problem is Pittsburgh has nothing left to trade for Miller . They traded all their picks for this playoff run . And no way I want Fleury coming back this way .

Underage junior prospects can only play in the AHL after their Junior team's season is finished. |

I am not even suggesting that we should trade Miller to the Penguins!
I have been reading a lot here lately, and some of the fans are suggesting that we should just get whatever we can for miller!!
I think we should get the MAX for him. He will have value in the market.
Just because we are tired of him, it does not mean that we should just give him away. |

You are 1000 % right . The haters in here want to give him no credit . It cracks me up when they bring up him being past his prime . Fact is most goalies do not hit their prime till their early 30's. |

Hm. I feel like Miller needs to be included to move up in the draft. Let's just say The Sabres not only fail to move into the top 5 but also Miller let's Darcy know he wants out without making a media circus of it. And let's say Minny wants Miller. Trade options.
-Miller and a 2nd for Jonas Brodin/Matt Dumba
-Miller and Stafford and a 2nd for Brodin/Dumba and Setoguchi
Few other decent options but making this trade will allow the Sabres to pick upa top defensive prospect, allowing them to use their picks on elite forwards who can score. Also with that second proposal. We basically save a million bucks. Not that it matters, but Stafford can go play with Parise now cause they're all BFF and stuff.
No need to flame, but counter offers are certainly welcome. Just tossing ideas around. - TheSabresTaco
ahoo aha. ahahah. ahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah.
how about Bryzgalov and a 2nd for Myers? Equal value |

You are high as a kite if you think Minnesota would part with Brodin or Dumba when they are tying to build up their D core. Especially Brodin who I think deserved the Calder this year.
Also, The Wild are tight to the cap and probably can't take on a salary like Miller's unless they peel off a player like Heatley at $6m a year. Which it exactly why they were hot on Raanta. - Oglethorpe
Brodin easily deserved the calder this year. Top pairing D man at 19? Hmm trade him away for a 33YO goalie on the decline of his career and a 2nd round pick

Miller still has 5-6 good years left in the tank!
Lots of goalies are still effective, even close to their 40s!

So he can't play in rochester this year even though he already played there last season? That's weird,.... |

he only played there at the end of the year, and that was because they had already started using that ELC year in the NHL |

How old was Dwayne Roloson when you guys road him to a Game 7 of the Stanley cup finals ? He was amazing that year. How old was Tim Thomas when he led Boston to the cup ? . There are plenty more where those came from. |

This is fair. Thing is, Miller is paid and treated like someone who should make up for it. Not sure that's fair but if its not, then maybe it's worth contemplating what else we could spend some of his salary on. |

It's a shame Pittsburgh traded all their prospects worth a damn for Morrow and Iginla. I'm guessing they might definitely make a phone call if Miller is available. |

There was a time he looked better.
I say aim for competent goaltending, stop trying to build around it. |
