i dont think darcy would use words like "suffering" at the year end presser- then go get any of those players...

sounds like the plan is to add as many top prospects as possible, then deal them for guys that are better than the ones you listed (since no one will come here unless we overpay).

Isn't he another big tough 3rd line shut down type guy... some offense but not too much... another Girgensons or Larsson basically??

And I think Barkov is the best player in the draft!

We'd get more value out of trading Vanek for picks & prospects

And as far as moving up goes...
It's just not worth it
It will cost way too much

If you're talking the 8th pick and Vanek for 4th...
Think about what Vanek could get us

Would u trade the 8th, PLUS two prospects, another 1st, and a 2nd?
That's a ridiculous amount to move up 4 spots

We're better off getting a couple more 1st for Miller & Vanek and adding four likely good-very good players
Than we are trading all that and adding only ONE very good- great player

We are stockpiling enough talent that we can package guys down the line a bit when we see who fits in here and who becomes expendable

At least that's how I'd do it

SO heres the deal boys I've been in this online sim league for about 8 real years now. We're in year 2020-2021 (sim years). We run off a program call EHM, if you're familiar with it they bingo, if not look it up its a hockey sim that allows you to run online leagues and have people GM and coach a team of their choice. We have a few open teams available and I want to promote the league in order to fill up the couple teams that are open.

His agent has said he will not sign there
And he's been pretty useful defensively, as well as finally showing some offensive potential as well

Rumors of a trade involving him and Stafford at the deadline are apparently being discussed again
I'd think we'd have to throw in a pick though too
