Is that why Buddy Nix retired?? I think he said that in the prank call that he fell for. - JVince11
I would imagine that played a large part in it. |

If EDM doesn't turn it around with all that talent that they have... that could be the biggest collection of 1st rounds busts ever assembled on one team. |

Yup.... who was the guy that when his Juniors year ended this season was allowed to finish the year with Rochester.. but since he doesn't turn 20 until like January he has to report back to Juniors for the first half of next year? - JVince11
Not sure who you're referring to
Kinda sounds like Jacobs, bc he came for like 10 games after his Junior season was over... But he's done w Juniors now and will play for Rochester next year
Ask GERBE...
Maybe I just missed the guy you're talking about |

Only counts if the player has to clear waivers and its 11 NHL games played. Their roster space isnt counted on an NHL roster until the play 11 games either.
To be eligible for arbitration he needs to play 10 NHL games before his entry level contract expires
Once he signed with Buffalo and played in the AHL he gave up his junior eligibility therefore his NHL entry level contract started
Edit: I had to do a lot of research for this one, its almost impossible to get the answer verbatim anywhere online - Stripes77
Unless the new CBA changed it, players in the AHL who sign at 18 can slide a year, then slide again at age 19.

See: Ottawa Senators circa 1996/1997. Daigle and Bonk area tough tandem to beat. Yashin wasn't exactly a bust, but...well, again, Milbury. |

I thought it was Jacobs but when i saw that he signed his ELC I had my doubts... he will be 19 until January 10, 2014. |

So he could be a legit 3C?
Imagining Girgensons - Burministov - Larsson. - JVince11
He could... And I believe he's only 20
He got rushed/treated badly by Winnipeg
He has potential to be anywhere from a 2nd liner to 4th liner
And he's played the wing too, mostly RW from what I read, so that flexibility is nice too
He has a rep, but I think his talent is worth taking a shot at him if the price is right |

83 #3 overall Pat LaFontaine.
85 # 6 overall Brad Dalgarno.
89 #2 overall Dave Chyzowski.
Lowest picks they had in the 80's |
