Its hard to challenge the goalie when all our shots are one off's from a rush and from the outside. Or we miss the net.
So yeah, their defense does deserve a lot of credit. Rask has been good, but hes beatable if we could get more than a chance here and there. Our horrid defense is why they are winning. Their good defense is why we aren't getting much chance to even it up? Make sense? Or are we really watching 2 different games? - thickman1178
You are giving them way too much credit. The only credit I give is their D. I can't give them any credit tonight in goal since he hasn't been tested and I can't give anything to Boston offensively due to the comedy of errors. Pittsburgh looks like a squirt house team tonight. I expect those errors from them.

yeah, that about sums it up. up until the fourth goal though, i would still have thought they had a good shot. now, they are going to need to get lucky as hell |

I hate how we are afraid to take the hit. Seems like we don't want to enter the zone with the puck. |

Pens need atleast 2, 1 goal wont be enough... they need to stifle the Bruins and really pick up a lot of momentum. 1 goal this period, although significant, wont get the Bruins on their heels. Score one half way in, and score a 2nd with a couple minutes left on the clock, then youll get the Bruins attention. |

not to be too gloom and doom here, but it does make me wonder that this team could look pretty different next year. |

We are getting there. However you can't deny we are playing way below what we are capable of, my friend. If we play well and lose that is tolerable. but to play like chokers, not so much. |

I don't even know what to say about this game so far. The Penguins just look outmatched in every aspect.
They can't win a face off.
They can't get the puck into the zone.
They can't stop the Bruins from getting into the zone.
They are tripping and colliding with each other.
Crosby is constantly swimming on the ice.
Jagr will score a goal in this game. |

This sums up everything. Way to choke and lose a winnable home game. |

Yeah someone tripped Cros and then Sutter and Kunitz checked each other. We definitely lost our mojo in that week off.
Whatever happens, please, please, please...don't let Jagr score. |

The pens are trying to hit Boston and are getting away from their game. When Montreal tries to rough it up against them it never works.
I've seen this at least a hundred times in the last 30 years. |

Can we ship back Iggy to Calgary and get our first round pick back. He has been worthless. He is an easy non resign; same with Morrow; same with Murray |

i never understood that trade. i thought it was dumb when they made it, and it looks even worse now.
pens were already the highest scoring team in the league, had tons of chemistry up front, then they bring in a guy like iginla, who they're basically forced to put in the top six (even though he doesn't seem to have any real chemistry with anyone)
i thought those assets could have been better spent upgrading the defense, which clearly seemed to be a bigger area of concern.
not saying iggy isn't a good player, just that given what pitt had versus what they needed, the trade just didn't seem to make any sense. |
